Rigby Verified Member Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 Well short of what they should have received, especially considering Duran's 2+ years of control. Extremely disappointing. CoachDW, Clare, Sjoski and 10 others 12 1
CoachDW Verified Member Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 Possibly the best closer available at this trade deadline and the return is underwhelming, to say the least. With Falvey at the helm, why am I not surprised? Yuck. Nshore, MMMordabito, Doc Lenz and 5 others 8

A minor league catching prospect and a pitcher currently on the Phillies roster. This front office needs to go. Unreal. Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 Not impressed. This is what you get when you can't develop any catchers? That's two trades for guys who won't be here for years and years. Like, this is a really bad trade. mickster, glunn, Linus and 3 others 5 1

OvertheHill Verified Member Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 Yuck. We won’t see any meaningful return on this trade for 3 years, and at that time this catching prospect will need to be a better than league average starter for this FO to be redeemed. I’m not optimistic. They’ll be gone regardless. GeorgeLooney 1

TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 I was on board to shop Duran and I'm still in support of making bold moves. We've been the worst team in baseball for most of the summer, no sacred cows. That said....Painter, Miller, or Crawford needed to be in this deal for me.
