I don't know much about the  Phillies prospects the Twins got for Duran, but it seems a bit light but not just totally lopsided against the Twins.

Yuck. We won’t see any meaningful return on this trade for 3 years, and at that time this catching prospect will need to be a better than league average starter for this FO to be redeemed. I’m not optimistic. They’ll be gone regardless.

Ramos was already at the MLB level. Unless it’s some can’t miss stud with a 1.000 OPS, A ball players should be the third or fourth piece included.

And they shouldn't. It's rebuild time. Which is why they should never have sought Abel in the deal. Unreal. You want high-end talent and future promise, not an MLB 4th starter dud.

I was on board to shop Duran and I'm still in support of making bold moves.  We've been the worst team in baseball for most of the summer, no sacred cows.

That said....Painter, Miller, or Crawford needed to be in this deal for me.  I'd feel much different about it if they were.  As is....not happy with the targets they got back.  I hope I end up wrong.

I was condemning that trade as well. We trade legitimate catchers for garbage closets and elite closets for garbage catchers.
