    This road trip was a kick in the pants. Not surprised by what happened against the Padres but they needed a sweep against a really bad Oakland team. Twins have done a really good job of stepping back from the ledge at various points this season but I think their luck has run out.

    Culpepper! Future's looking pretty bright. Only the third Twin to have two 3-hit games in the first 14 games of his career. One, Kirby Puckett (!!!). Two...Brian Dinkelman. Here's hoping Pep's career trajectory is closer to Kirby's.

    Haven't been able to watch the last few games - and I have to say - doesn't look like I missed much. Brutal series in San Diego - seems like Morris had an 'Alcala' moment on Saturday night - and last night was too close for comfort.

    If you would have told me that Lopez would miss the entire season, Abel would miss most of it, and Ryan would be out for a period of time starting in late July, I would have thought 90+ losses for sure. Amazing how they've been able to cobble together a rotation.

    Regardless of what happens over the next 5 weeks, this season's been fun. I think what has been the most enjoyable is that just when you think the team is ready to hit rock bottom and flame out, they do something crazy...like sweep the Atlanta Braves. There is a lot of 'want-to' and fight in this group and while I won't take a deep dive on Rocco's tenure, those qualities didn't exist the last few seasons.
