  1. Sounds like second half Bradley, Ober and Ryan 😅.. Kremer has been the most reliable starter since the deadline. I like it. Help is help.
  2. As a new Twins fan, from what I've read it feels like this move was more to try to make amends for last year's sell, if anything. Curry favour with the fans. Buy back some support. Put the money where their mouths are. Do the FO really believe that the Twins were going to have a genuine crack at a World Series win this year, being 20+ in power rankings? Or did they just want to show the fans that in future years, they are going to commit to whatever it takes to make this team succeed? A gesture of goodwill? As a fan, I want the people making decisions to have genuine confidence in the team (hopefully well placed), and to want to stick to a plan and see it out. They have a strong farm and a solid team when they're playing well. Keep adding and don't rebuild until we have a genuine crack at the title, let's go!
  3. Hoping maybe when the boys return to Target Field they might bring one or two of these guys up for a shot. If not Wallner for another chance, Jenkins or Culpepper? Bats need something! ❄️
  4. I disagree in part. The Dodgers just got swept by the Red Sox. They're not invincible. But I do agree there needs to be something done to address the salary disparity.
  5. "Dean Kremer bringing in a 6.50 ERA and hoping to gravitate back toward his career norm of mediocrity" - ouch! I tend to agree though. I'd love to see the bats back at their best, perhaps bring up some like Wallner who are having a crack at AAA and see if it translates.
  6. The sentence was - "But tbh if I was any of them, I'd rather go to the Red Sox / White Sox / Yankees / Guardians etc. rather than the Twins right now if I wanted a genuine shot at a world series title this year." That means I wouldn't join the Twins this year for a genuine world series shot...
  7. That's what I mean - they need to bring some prospects up and give them some game time asap. Rather than being in a couple of big names who will leave after playoffs if they get the opportunity and won't be core pieces long term...
  8. The other contenders all picked up the big name players I was hoping we'd get at least one of. But tbh if I was any of them, I'd rather go to the Red Sox / White Sox / Yankees / Guardians etc. rather than the Twins right now if I wanted a genuine shot at a world series title this year. But one or two big names was probably not going to be enough to make this team a World Series winning team if we're honest. But still a promising sign for the Twins to buy and invest in an area of weakness. Even if it's just for the fans to make playoffs and give us hope for next year. Get some playoff experience in the young guys. I'd still like to see some roster shuffling to put more pressure on the current guys to perform.
  9. Awesome to see the bullpen stabilising as the season progresses. They are doing their job. Epic effort for the boys to stay the course and pull off the win after a pitchers duel. Hopefully it's a good confidence boost going into the next couple of series which we could sweep to get back in the race.
  10. There's a lot to say about the bullpen's struggles, but the AL's highest scoring team has hit the breaks on runs scored. Injecting an experienced hitter would help cut down the number of runners left on base and could be the difference in those close games.
  11. The bats have certainly gone cold. At least it looks like Shelty is adjusting the lineup. Nobody is hitting consistently. I would try to put the 3 hottest hitters in a row in the hope that they can get each other over the line, but who they are varies game to game. They'll warm back up in time I'm sure.
  12. Starter I agree, BP would be great but the BP are shaping up at the moment. Just need a lead to hold. Reliable hitters with RISP. Buck will be a welcome return
  13. I'm always of the belief that if you have to rely on other teams dropping games, you're probably not good enough to make it. Some positives with the bullpen's efforts, at least the front office will get a good picture of who can perform against the top teams and who could be traded to give some young players an opportunity to step up.
  14. As a new (first year) Twins fan living abroad, it seems promising! If some of these prospects live up to the expectations, it'll be exciting to watch. I hope Fedko, who is a solid hitter in the minors but can't get a hit in the majors, can find his feet and live up to the hype to, for his sake and the team's!
