  1. Going be tough when he flew out on AB 2 and 3. And 4. But at least he didn't strike out chasing out of the zone or looking
  2. I guess you can afford to walk Bell and Lewis when Kreidler and Caratini are up next 🤦‍♂️
  3. Is it just my observation, or do Twins batters seem to only be able to hit off 4th/ 5th starters and bottom end bp arms? That explains the 1-2 wins every 4-6 games. Can't hit against 1st/2nd starters or top end bp guys. Can only capitalise on the bottom end guys if they get lucky and the balls fall in the right place in gaps. Hope they can fix this next year
  4. Phew 😅 😮‍💨 What's it going to take to get Aleman out for another innings or two 😆
  5. How many strikeouts do Bell and Lewis need to lose their spot for a game? Sheesh
  6. Banda was a solid closer when he was healthy, before we started relying on Gomez. I would say if he's fit next year his spot is locked in.
  7. Better innings from Kremer. He makes me nervous 😅 which inning will the bats pile on tonight?
  8. MLB app says Morris is opening tomorrow, what happened to Prelipp? Bullpen games make me nervous...er.
  9. "...if the Twins make a real push toward October." - they are not. Losing games they could win and bats going quiet after the first few innings is becoming a trend. Bullpen is tired and giving up runs late, blowing leads. Starters imploding by the 5th or 6th. The boys are tired, this team is not steam rolling home on win streaks, they've lost 7/10. Bats can't hit against bullpens, going down in <10 pitches in final innings with 0 hits or walks. Some positives with Culpepper, Jenkins, Lee an Keaschall getting hits but not enough to mount meaningful rallies. A lot has to change overnight for this team to make a meaningful push. Bring up some more young guys like ERod and let's have a glimmer of hope for 2027/8.
  10. Funny how the Athletics are part of the 'easy runway' but they just embarrassed us 2/3 without breaking a sweat 😂 I'd love to see a miracle but I'm expecting more pain than joy for the rest of this year and looking towards 2027/28 to keep building a solid core to look as promising as the White Sox and Guardians do now ahead of us.
  11. Apparently he was ejected for directing a personal insult at an umpire, after he struck out on a check swing. Hope it isn't a trend 😬
  12. Article credits an extra ER to Gomez when Nance loaded the bases and gave up 1 on a sac fly in the 8th and got himself out of trouble, meaning it was 9-2 going into the 9th, but other than that, a good summary. Gomez needs to pitch more often, let's stick to 3 games in a row 😆
  13. I was encouraged to see that the lineup remains unchanged from yesterday for today's game. No arbitrary shuffling of positions. Some consistency and stability. Let's shake off the dust from yesterday's game and bounce back with some hits! 🙏
  14. I like that he's getting on base more often and has helped continue some rallies at crucial times. He has great potential, I'm looking forward to seeing him improve over time as he gets more comfortable and lays off pitches outside the zone.
  15. Two of their pitches had ERA's of 0 and 0.75 in their last 3 outings before us. I'd say they were decent and capable but our bats got the better of them.
  16. I was wondering if maybe they're trying to keep him fresh to extend him for 3-4 innings in case Bradley loses control early in game 3?
  17. What a start! Who's going to tell KC to follow the trend and not chase balls out of the zone! The 3 pitch strikeout hurts.
  18. Sounds like second half Bradley, Ober and Ryan 😅.. Kremer has been the most reliable starter since the deadline. I like it. Help is help.
  19. As a new Twins fan, from what I've read it feels like this move was more to try to make amends for last year's sell, if anything. Curry favour with the fans. Buy back some support. Put the money where their mouths are. Do the FO really believe that the Twins were going to have a genuine crack at a World Series win this year, being 20+ in power rankings? Or did they just want to show the fans that in future years, they are going to commit to whatever it takes to make this team succeed? A gesture of goodwill? As a fan, I want the people making decisions to have genuine confidence in the team (hopefully well placed), and to want to stick to a plan and see it out. They have a strong farm and a solid team when they're playing well. Keep adding and don't rebuild until we have a genuine crack at the title, let's go!
  20. Hoping maybe when the boys return to Target Field they might bring one or two of these guys up for a shot. If not Wallner for another chance, Jenkins or Culpepper? Bats need something! ❄️
  21. I disagree in part. The Dodgers just got swept by the Red Sox. They're not invincible. But I do agree there needs to be something done to address the salary disparity.
  22. "Dean Kremer bringing in a 6.50 ERA and hoping to gravitate back toward his career norm of mediocrity" - ouch! I tend to agree though. I'd love to see the bats back at their best, perhaps bring up some like Wallner who are having a crack at AAA and see if it translates.
  23. The sentence was - "But tbh if I was any of them, I'd rather go to the Red Sox / White Sox / Yankees / Guardians etc. rather than the Twins right now if I wanted a genuine shot at a world series title this year." That means I wouldn't join the Twins this year for a genuine world series shot...
  24. That's what I mean - they need to bring some prospects up and give them some game time asap. Rather than being in a couple of big names who will leave after playoffs if they get the opportunity and won't be core pieces long term...
  25. The other contenders all picked up the big name players I was hoping we'd get at least one of. But tbh if I was any of them, I'd rather go to the Red Sox / White Sox / Yankees / Guardians etc. rather than the Twins right now if I wanted a genuine shot at a world series title this year. But one or two big names was probably not going to be enough to make this team a World Series winning team if we're honest. But still a promising sign for the Twins to buy and invest in an area of weakness. Even if it's just for the fans to make playoffs and give us hope for next year. Get some playoff experience in the young guys. I'd still like to see some roster shuffling to put more pressure on the current guys to perform.
