Message added by Squirrel,

This thread is NOT a discussion thread. This thread is for posting actual transactions only so we have a more streamlined place for posters to look for the 'ups' and 'downs' of the active roster as they happen. If you think any move warrants extra discussion, please start a separate discussion thread. Or if you want to speculate on any upcoming moves, please start a thread, or go to one that is currently active in the forum. Let’s keep this thread streamlined to make it easier to see/find the moves. Thanks! 🙂

Looks like it might be another lost season for Alcala. Not the news our bullpen needed, but it's not as if he was making a positive impact so far this year.

Maybe because he was hurt.

No announcement on the move to make room on the 40-man roster for Lewis?

Someone has to be going on the 60-day or Garlick comes off the 40-man

I don't think it has to be Garlick but I'd choose to keep any of the 39 other players over him.

Related query: how long can they keep Celestino on the 60-day IL? The original recovery time for the injury was 6-8 weeks and it has been close to three months.

You are correct. Here’s the full transaction:

Not liking the Wallner transaction. He is one of the few players who stepped upto the plate against the Blue Jays and actually did the job.

Me either, but with Kep back, what else do you do?

"Max, you just had a setback with that hamstring.  Yes.  You did.  To the 60-day list you go."

Until he's healthy.

Good question. Does Celestino have options?

He has one option remaining. However, He isn't on the 40 man and is supposed to be out for the year.

Did Garlick have an option or is he on waivers?

Waivers. I believe he's been through this 3 or 4 times with the Twins in his career and never been claimed.

Gilberto Celestino has started his rehab in Fort Myers. Barring a setback, twenty days from now, the Twins will have to activate Celestino and add him to the 40-man roster and decide whether to option him. Of course, they could also DFA him, but I doubt they would do that because of his age and experience.

Twins trade Tyler White for cash considerations

Tyler White? I must have blinked and missed that one.  Honestly, who was he?
