Here's the thing ... there's a lot more of these kinds of losses to come. A lot more.

For everyone who thinks that a total take-your-lumps rebuild doesn't work, just look over at the White Sox. The Twins could gave started this process after 2024, but they've wasted opportunities. As a result, success is still further away than it needed to be.

So the time to start is now. Right now. And it's gonna be 3+ years of truly dreadful baseball. But at least it might lead somewhere. The approach they took this offseason leads nowhere forever.

Problem is we don’t seem to develop well, especially as the young guys get onto the big league roster. I too would love to stock up the farm system, but is there faith that it would actually work out? I don’t know. I wish we would have gotten more out of the fire sale last year except a few “maybe one days” and a few other guys who aren’t healthy. Now there isn’t much left to sell outside of Joe and Byron, who probably is never leaving. Dark days

Last couple of weeks has featured some lifeless performances. Hopefully apathy not setting in.

I think that it already has.

Listened to game on radio , didn't miss seeing any highlights on TV , cause the players weren't capable of making any ...

Austin Martin made a nice diving catch to his left. But nothing else suggested they ever had a chance.

I am trying to figure out why are you posting a random stat line?

You laughed at it, which makes me question your sense of humor.

And yet you are unable to answer the question...

The front office has failed the team and the fans ... AGAIN!

Is the Ownership part of the Front Office? After $$ spent toward Correa & P. Lopez salary, the Team spend for guys on the field is $73M ………. FO is not made up of miracle workers.

To me, it’s a group of mediocre players (as a group) that are continuing with mediocre performances 60% of the time or more. I think the attitude is surprisingly upbeat.

Abel - Ober - Rojas would be a welcome shot in the arm over next 1-3 weeks.

Gabby Gonzales seems to be an option for the offense at some point soon. Fedko sure is grinding out solid performances in St. Paul as well.

5 hits today - good news is Lewis got two of them. Sure hope he can heat up. I saw he struck out looking on his other 2 AB’s.

Of that $73m they spent $7m on Bell who is a DH only who is below average at the plate.  And another $7m on a backup catcher who is making us wish Vazquez was back.  The FO has never done a good job with limited resources but somehow other organizations, Cleveland and Milwaukee can build winning teams without large payrolls.  Money isn't always the answer.

Stupid money is definitely not the answer.

Outman claimed by the Tigers. He’s got no options so he’ll be on the MLB roster.

Good. He might be able to single handedly prevent the Tigers from making the playoffs.

MLB needs to ban these embarrassing 8th/9th inning position player pitching appearances. Seriously. Idk exactly how you legislate that with the Ohtani situation in LA, but non pitchers throwing non-competitive pitches is gross; it needs to stop.

The problem isn't position players pitching, the problem is that they don't actually try out there. I agree that watching Alex Jackson throwing 50 mph fastballs is unwatchable, but what I want to see is position players going out there and actually trying to get outs. I'm not saying that they need to go full velocity and throw out their arms, but I'm sure most of these guys pitched in high school and some even in college. They know how to pitch. Go out there and show some pride, have fun and get guys out.

Let me help you with that. It's called optimism; a bright spot for Twins fans. Seems like Lewis playing well offends you? Bummer.
