  1. I bet it was a lot lower at this time last year. Not much stress in August last year.
  2. Jul 28 KC W, 3-2 4.0 0 0 4 18.00 2.75 You're right. Yahoo Sports is just confused. They think he allowed 8 runs and they won 3-2. I should have caught that. Thanks for correcting me.
  3. Kremer actually faced Kansas City in his last start. Somebody got Kremed and it was not the Royals. Kremer went 4 innings and allowed 8 ERs while striking out 4. Yikes. Hopefully he can bounceback today.
  4. Detroit is catching up, but they also traded Tarik Skubal and Cazey Mize at the trade deadline so it is hard to see them making a run. Losses happen and the Twins were fortunate to not have lost a game on Chicago or Cleveland, but they need to solve the Noah Cameron problem tomorrow and come away with a victory.
  5. Vahn Lackey threw 2 guys out stealing today. Just saying
  6. Making up for the ones we missed this year
  7. Step One: Call up Jenkins, DFA Jackson ASAP Step Two: When Culpepper is fully healthy, call him up and DFA Tristian Gray Step Three: Call up E-Rod, Mendez, or Houston as part of September Roster Expansion Step Four: Win World Series Step Five: Rightsize the Business
  8. We need to have Jenkins up with the big league club. Jackson should have been traded today so we could get something for him. The Twins should promote Jenkins and DFA Jackson right away. I understand people saying we should keep him around in order to have him as the backup for next year, but it is not worth the shortened bench until then. If Tom Pohlad is really willing to invest in the Twins he will have no trouble getting a backup catcher for next year that is as good if not better than Jackson is. A potential difference-making offensive bat in Jenkins will be crucial for the stretch run.
  9. I wouldn't be shocked if he is DFA'd
  10. Cazey Mize to the Padres
  11. Kirby Yates to the Pirates
  12. This was a pretty good deadline. It wasn't flashy, but they got a right handed reliever, a left-handed reliever, and a starting pitcher.
  13. Except for Varland
  14. I really like Hoffman having control for next year as well. All of a sudden the 2027 bullpen doesn't look terrible. You have Gomez, Morris, and Hoffman at the top. Tommy Nance, Travis Adams, Banda, and Kody Funderburk and Kendrys Rojas all coming back. Matthews and Festa could also be turned into relievers
  15. Nootbar going to the D-Backs
  16. I know this might be controversial, but I love this trade. The Twins got back a guy who was a closer on a World Series team last year and was an All-Star in 2024. They did give up a good amount, but that is what you have to do in order to get good players at the deadline. The headline is Dasan HIll, but he has not been good at High-A and is still a ways from the majors is he reaches it.
  17. Hill is the only one in thIat package that is noteworthy. John Klein wasn't really a prospect and Dameury Pena is just a lottery ticket. It does seem like a slight overpay, but Hoffman is under control through next year, and has been a great reliever for Toronto.
  18. Hoffman is under team control until 2027.
  19. I haven't seen the return yet, but I do like getting Hoffman. He has legit strikeout stuff and was Toronto's closer last year. He has pitched to a 3.94 ERA this year, but also has 14.1 K/9
  20. Thank you for listening Jeremy Zoll. Now I would like to see them add Shohei Ohtani if you don't mind.
