  1. The Twins top 3 batting average leaders* are Gabriel Gonzalez, Walker Jenkins, and Kaalen Culpepper. Neither of the three have had enough at-bats to be anywhere near qualifying, but it is interesting. Alex Jackson is number 4 FWIW. *do not qualify
  2. Even if they are not going to make the playoffs, it was worth it to call up Jenkins. They needed to get him some major league experience, and he seems well up to the task. Now let's extend him and lock him up for a long time.
  3. These next two games are pretty much must-win for the Twins to have any shot at the division. Twins will need to go at least 4-1 in the next 5 vs. the White Sox to have any chance
  4. Jenkins hitting 9th again today. Jeffers is recieving a day off which might be a good idea after a rough night yesterday on both sides of the ball. Still no Alex Jackson.
  5. Kaalen Culpper bounced right back from losing his 7 game hit streak against the Padres. He is currently riding a 6 game hit streak. He has definitely adjusted really well to MLB.
  6. Really encouraging debut from Walker Jenkins. This team has the makings to be really fun in 2027/2028, bit I don't think this is going to be the year. 4.0 games out of the wild card with 26 to go is a really steep obstacle. It has been a fun season and I will continue to watch and root hard for the Twins this season, but my focus has shifted a little bit to next season.* Jenkins, Culpepper, Keaschall, Lewis, Buxton, Clemens and Lee is a pretty exciting young offensive core. If you keep Lopez and Ryan around, they have a great rotation barring injuries (Lopez, Ryan, Bradley, Abel, Kremer/Prielipp), and the bullpen with a couple additions could be above average. Go Twins! 2028 World Series Champions! *Lockout Pending
  7. FWIW: Emmanuel Rodriguez's exit velos in his first 3 at-bats today in AAA At-bat 1: 101.9 MPH ground out At-Bat 2: 103.5 MPH Double At-Bat 3: 102.1 MPH Home Run Personally I would love to see E-Rod be the September call-up, but I doubt that will happen. One way or the other, though, I think we will see him at some point this year.
  8. Last time they made the playoffs, they rightsized the business and cut 30 million in payroll. I'm not sure if I want the Twins to make the playoffs.😀
  9. technically, it is his 8th try, but it has been a long time.
  10. Let's take the series today, sweep tomorrow and have momentum heading into the divisional stretch.
  11. I said this after the 6th thinking he was done, but after the 7th I will say it again. Great job today Zebby.
  12. Zebby's ERA down under 5.00 after today's start.
