  1. Yeah, I appreciate the sentiment for Rogers to close games the rest of the year for old times sake, but when the time actually comes, I do not want him coming out of the bullpen in high leverage.
  2. Have to let Jenkins tie it for the 2nd game in a row
  3. First pick was Stephen Strasburg. Wheeler was #6, AJ Pollock #17, Twins took K. Gibson at 22 and Randal Grichuk was #24. Everybody else was pretty marginal
  4. Have to win 14 of their next 10 to stay alive. Let's Go Twins!
  5. I wonder how the Saints would have been performed if the Twins hadn't robbed them of a ton of their talent. (Jenkins, Rodriguez, Culpepper, Gonzalez, Ross)
  6. Small sample size, but Emmanuel Rodriguez average exit velo is 102.9 mph through his first 4 games. James Wood currently leads qualified hitters with a 95.2 average EV.
  7. Good for Pablo. He is a great guy and I would like to see the Twins extend him. I really appreciate Pablo's decision to travel with the team despite being injured.
  8. Guardians and White Sox still tied at zero in the 6th. Gavin Williams was cruising into the 6th. Andrew Bennetendi singled and Tristian Peters came up with the runner on 1st and nobody out and just took a 18 pitch walk by fouling off 12 pitches to chase Williams. Wow
  9. Twins move up to 8th in the draft lottery odds with potential to move up to 5th. Looking forward to replenishing the minor leagues after this season slipped away. Let's get a 1st round pitcher this year.
  10. I'm excited for 2027 and beyond with Culpepper, Jenkins, Rodriguez, Keaschall, and Lee leading a young core.
  11. Not Twins related, but Rays can clinch a playoff spot today with a win
  12. He definitely had a bad stretch in there, but he seems to be heating up again. Over the last 7 days (small sample) he is hitting .400 with a 1,120 OPS.
  13. Looking up this score made me interested in looking at the bullpen on a random day this season. On May 2nd the Twins played the Blue Jays. Prielipp made the start and was relieved by Justin Topa, Kody Funderburk, Luis Garcia, Anthony Banda, and John Klein. The Twins were winning 4-2 when Prielipp left the game after the 5th inning. They went on to lose 11-4 with the bullpen being charged for 9 runs. Yikes.
  14. Keider Monter last faced the Twins on June 11. He threw 6 1/3 scoreless innings and got the win in a 11-0 thumping for the Tigers. He was matched up against Zebby in that start too. The Tigers hit 6 home runs in that game and lit up Zebby for 7 runs over 6 innings. In that game Cody Lawyerson came in relief of Zebby and Alex Jackson threw the last inning for the Twins. Hopefully the Twins can flip the score on Detroit today.
  15. Caratini for Jeffers today after Jeffers caught 9 straight.
  16. He has been pretty bad in the outfield, but he has been getting better lately especially after moving out of CF. His DRS is -1 as a right fielder which isn't good, but it is a lot better than it was a month or so ago.
  17. Let's win tomorrow and be done with Chicago for the season. Take 2 of 3 from Detroit and Cleveland and you are likely within 2 or 3 games of the wild card with 7 against the Angels and Giants still to go. There is little to no margin for error, but if the Twins can get hot they can get in. I liked what Josh Bell said in the post game radio interview today. He basically said (Paraphrasing Here) that they know that they will have to get really hot to get into the playoffs, but if they do they will be entering the playoffs as one of the hottest team in baseball.
