  1. I think Ryan and Gomez are both unlikely to be traded. I understand cashing in while Gomez' value is high, but I don't think the return will be significant enough to give away years of team control. If the Twins are trading Banda and Gomez, who have been their two best relievers this year, they are basically doing the same thing as last deadline with getting rid of all of their good bullpen pieces. I think that with a little addition to the bullpen, this is a team that can go a long ways in 2027. If I were running the Twins, I would do a light sell. I would trade rentals such as Bell and Rogers. I would also trade Larnach in order to clear up some outfield playing time for prospects such as Jenkins, Rodriguez, Mendez, and Gonzalez.

  3. Great win. Zebby pitched really well. Great offensive game. Josh Bell and Kody Clemens have both been hot lately. The Twins offense has been surprisingly good this year. They are 7th in baseball in runs scored. Twins are just two games back of the wild card, 5 back in the division. World Series, here we come!!!
  4. I think it is a bit of a stretch to say that Paredes is the next Johan Santana, but if you want to hop on that bandwagon I won't stop you. 🙂
  5. Great win today. Good job by the bullpen and Paredes.
  6. Orze got 5 outs on just 15 pitches. He had thrown just 8 in the first inning. It was worth letting him keep going for the 8th.
  7. Banda hasn't given up a earned run since May 10 (13.1 innings). He has been good lately.
  8. Third in MLB in home runs, second in the American League. He leads all American league outfielders in OPS and SLG by a wide margin. This guy needs to be an All-Star starter. Vote Buck!!!
  9. The one reason I don't hate Shelton pulling Paredes there is because it is the third time through the order and Pederson took him deep last at-bat. (Also, it worked out)
  10. Small sample size, but it is really encouraging to see Royce performing like he has since being called up.
  11. Great Game. Great win tonight for the Twins. Byron Buxton is a stud. It is really nice to see Royce to seem to have figured something out lately. Hopefully it sticks this time. The Twins got clutch hitting when they needed it, and played solid defense for the most part. Ryan pitched decently. At this point, he is the only Twins starter I am confident in. Bradley, Matthews, and Prielipp have all shown flashes but haven't been consistent. Go Twins and Go USMNT. Dominant win today over Paraguay!!!!
  12. The problem isn't position players pitching, the problem is that they don't actually try out there. I agree that watching Alex Jackson throwing 50 mph fastballs is unwatchable, but what I want to see is position players going out there and actually trying to get outs. I'm not saying that they need to go full velocity and throw out their arms, but I'm sure most of these guys pitched in high school and some even in college. They know how to pitch. Go out there and show some pride, have fun and get guys out. https://www.mlb.com/video/jackie-bradley-jr-pitching
  13. Do not trade Gomez. He has a lot of team control and we need all the bullpen help we can get.
  14. Yoendrys Gomez has been amazing for the Twins since he was acquired. He definitely seems to have unlocked something with the Twins. It's amazing that we got him for so little even with all those years of team control. I'm not sure how sustainable it is, but even if he is a 3 ERA guy, that would be a huge win especially with 5 years of service time remaining. I could definitely see him being on the team in 2028 and for basically a waiver wire pickup that is a huge win.
