Yeah, and Walker Jenkins homered twice in the other game of the double header! (Emmanuel Rodriguez also homered in the first game so they each homered twice*)
*Tristian Gray and Gabby Gonzalez also both hit two homers.
We know he has the power. It is just a question of whether he can keep the strikeout rate down and stay healthy on the field. He is out of options. I think he has a better chance of being called up than Jenkins does this season.
For those who are standing watching: Orioles lose, Guardians lose, White Sox win, Blue Jays lose, Tigers lose, Red Sox lose, Mariners winning, Rangers losing, Astros winning. I'm out of breath from all that
In the last 30 days, Alex Jackson is hitting .333 (4 for 12). If he had enough at-bats to qualify that would put him 5th in the American league in that stretch. His average on the season (.303) would put him top 10 in all of baseball. Just saying. 😀
No Jeffers today, but other than that I like today's lineup. I think it is okay to give Jeffers an occasional day off with him still recovering from the hamate bone injury. I love seeing Keaschall finding a home in the leadoff spot.
No Buxton is interesting. I don't mind giving him a rest except for it means that Keaschall is back in CF. Yikes. Other than that I like today's lineup. Keaschall is leading off again which I think he deserves.
Much needed win. Offense struggled after the first, but it is good to see them get enough to get a win. Great job by the bullpen and especially Adams with two dominant innings. Big win to get them just 0.5 games out of the Wild Card. Go Twins.
