If Bell does end up being the full time DH there is no reason at all for Trevor Larnach to be on the Opening Day roster. He needs to be traded

It is always nice to get some major league talent for a low level prospect. I don't like DFAing Fitzgerald however. He was decent in his time with the Twins even with limited upside. The Twins really don't have anybody else to back up Lee at short unless they plan on bringing up Culpepper early which I would support. I'm not entirely sure what to think of Wagaman, but it sounds like the Twins now have three major league first basemen instead of just one in Kody Clemens. This likely means that Bell will see a bunch of DH time which even furthers the need to trade Trevor Larnach. I'm intrigued to see how new manager Derek Shelton manages this.

Nice break from a slow off-season for the Twins. I predict Georgia over Texas Tech 34-24 in the championship. Jacob Rodriguez should have won the heisman.

Well, we now know who the 2026 First Baseman AL Gold Glove award winner will be.

I think of these names the ones I would most like the Twins to add are Lowe, Toglia, or O'Hearn. Toglia is a lesser-known name, but has flashed some upside with the Rockies. A name I would want the Twins to target in trade talks would be Ryan Mountcastle.

Royce definitely flashed a ton of upside when he came up in 2023, but his career has kind of had a downhill trajectory since. I think that the increase in stolen bases, and hopefully a healthier offseason could help him have a good season this year offensively. While the bat has had issues in the last couple of years, he has shown tremendous growth defensively, and I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility for him to have a All-Star caliber season. I think that 90th percentile outcome for Royce this season is 25 HRs 15 SB, and an above-average glove at third base. If the Twins are going to try to compete in 2026, they will need Royce to be a lot better than he has been in the last couple of years, both on and off the field.

The lower minors catching for the Twins actually looks really good. There are a lot of names with some upside. Tait, Jiminez, Diaw, and Caraballo all have decent upside. The only problem is the Twins essentially have zero catchers outside of Ryan Jeffers above AA.

Matt Mikulski, the guy the Twins got for Correa was released by the Twins in October of this year. -
I don't think either of Rosario or Fedko are likely to get claimed by another team. I was a bit surprised the the Twins didn't protect Culpepper, and I think he is the most likely one of these four to be claimed. The Rule 5 draft has never been something I really paid attention to before, but now with a lot of the Twins acquisitions maybe coming in it, than I will be following it more closely this year.

If it was up to me, I would put Zebby in the rotation in place of S-W-R. I know that S-W-R flashed a bit of upside in the second half of last season, but he has now thrown over 250 innings with the Twins, and has yet to show any real consistency. The Twins aren't likely to compete with this roster, and I think that Zebby is more likely to slot into their future plans than S-W-R is. I would also put Festa in the bullpen in place of Prielipp. Ideally, I would want to give Prielipp a little bit more time to try to prove himself in the AAA rotation, and Festa seems destined toward the bullpen anyway.

It's good to see Luke recieve a well-earned bonus after this season. I agree with the sentiment that pre-arbitration bonuses are one of the best things that MLB added with the Collectective Bargaining Agreement. Keaschall is one of the bright spots for the Twins in 2026.

With the state of the Twins bullpen right now, I would want any of the arms traded away instead of Raya, an unproven arm who has struggled in AAA, and never pitched in the majors. I'm not saying that I would want all of the players traded away back, but most likely, aside from Raya, none of the four that you listed are going to be on the Opening Day Roster. If the Twins were willing to commit to playing Jenkins and Culpepper consistently, that would be a different story, but I don't think that is likely to happen.

Everyone is upset because the reason the young guys are going to be playing is because everybody else is gone. The Twins aren't really choosing to play the 'young guys', they are just the players that are left. I think that there is a part of every diehard Twins fan that will really never be satisfied. That is part of the joy of being a fan of a small market team. Half of being a Twins fan is complaining about ownership, the front office, or something else. I know, personally, that if the Twins began winning every year, I wouldn't know what to do.

I think that Raya needs to be in the bullpen. I don't think that he will ever be able to develop into anything other than a number four or five starter. Prielipp is more interesting, however. Falvey has indirectly commented about Prielipp moving to the bullpen this year. If it was up to me, I would give Prielipp a month or two in AAA to try and work it out as a starter, but I don't think that will happen. The major league team is desparately in need of bullpen arms, and Prielipp has the upside to become a 8th or 9th inning guy. I expect Raya to be in the bullpen to start the season.

I don't think that the Twins need to be looking into acquiring another outfielder. The outfield position is crowded enough as it is, and getting a difference-maker in the outfield is probably out of their price range.

Before this season, I was kind of down on Rodriguez as a prospect, because of his lack of power, and injury history. I was impressed with what he did this season however, and his performance in a pitcher friendly league gets me really excited. I think that he has a very real chance to make the Opening Day Roster if he continues to prove himself in Spring Training. It is also nice to see a Twins prospect perform well, in a Winter or Fall league.

It is a very full and chaoitic postition for the Twins this season. . I would sort them into 5 tiers. 1. Head and Shoulders above the rest: Byron Buxton 2. 2025 outfielders: Trevor Larnach, Matt Wallner, Alen Roden, Austin Martin, and James Outman 3. Prospects nearing the bigs: Walker Jenkins, Emmanuel Rodriguez, Hendry Mendez, and Gabriel Gonzalez 4. Other Assorted minor leaguers: Ryan Kreidler, Kyler Fedko, Carson McCusker, Kala'i Rosario, and Ricardo Oliver 5. Possible Position Changes: Royce Lewis, Luke Keaschall, Kody Clemens, and Mickey Gaspar Buxton is obviously going to be on the roster, barring a trade, and I think Wallner and Roden will be in as well. I don't think any of Lewis, Keaschall, or Clemens are likely to switch to the outfield because of how many options the Twins have in the outfield. I think Larnach is likely to be traded this offseason. Martin should be on the roster, which leaves Jenkins, Rodriguez, Gonzalez, and Outman to compete for the final outfield spot. If it was up to me, I would go with Jenkins or Rodriguez to start the season, but I wouldn't be shocked if Outman was given the Opening Day spot, with a short leash to be replaced by one of the prospects.

I don't expect to get someone who shows up on any prospect lists, but I could see the Twins getting a mid-minors arm with some upside like a Jose Olivares type. Even that is better than nothing.
