  1. Louie Varland has pitched in 10 of the Blue Jays 11 games in this postseason. Raleigh just took him deep however.
  2. Julio goes yard. Mariners up 2-1.
  3. Let's see. We can get Alonso, Schwarber, Tucker, Valdez, and E. Diaz. Maybe throw in J.T. Realmuto. Oh wait . . . never mind. I thought this was the Dodgers thread.
  4. Well, this series is a lot more interesting than Brewers/Dodgers was.
  5. I like the idea of Byron Buxton being officially named the Captain. He is definitely the leader of the clubhouse. along with Pablo Lopez, and Lopez might not even be on the team heading into 2026. Buxton's leadership will be very important in ushering in a young core for the Twins.
  6. Wow. Ohtani is otherworldly. I think that was the best ever single game postseason performance. 6 shutout innings to go with 3 home runs! I wouldn't be surprised if he is intentially walked more times than not in the WS.
  7. A bunch of uncompetitive at-bats for the Brewers in this game and this entire series. They seem to have already given up. There is no energy.
  8. Top 25 team in Nebraska. This could be a big win.
  9. I understand how historic Aaron Judge's season was, but I think that Cal Raleigh has to be the MVP for doing what he has been doing from the catcher position. He was amazing defensively too. No passed balls the entire regular season.
  10. Brewers/Dodgers?😢
  11. Ober definitely needs to be retained for 2026. There are a lot of questions about his performance and health, but the upside that he showed in 2023 and 2024 is hard to replace. 2026 might be his last chance with the Twins. If he does not perform in 2026 he will probably be non-tendered or traded away. I still believe in the upside, but he is one of the players with the most to prove in 2026, and if he doesn't step up, there are a lot of pitchers waiting in the wings for his rotation spot.
  12. McLean's 95th percentile outcome is a playoff caliber one or two in a big league rotation. You already have that in Joe Ryan, so why would you trade him away for a prospect who might turn into Joe Ryan. You might be right in that the Mets won't be willing to give up much more for Ryan, but if that is the best we can do, I see no reason in trading him.
  13. Nowadays teams rarely trade away their top prospects. Deals like the Juan Soto to the Padres deal just don't happen anymore. If the Mets would be willing to give us Mclean along with Benge or Williams, I would jump on it, but I don't think that the Mets are going to offer that.
  14. I tend to lean towards picking a college pitcher with the Twins early draft pick. The potentiol to have an impact starter like Misiorowski or even Yesavage for the Blue Jays up within a couple of years is too much for me to pass up. Misiorowski has elite stuff, and could very well be a generational talent.
  15. After the year, Bailey Ober had in 2025, I'm not sure how many teams would be interested in acquiring him. I like the idea of extending Jeffers, and signing Vazquez to a one year deal. Theilbar and Couloumbe are names that are interesting as veteran bullpen arms. I would also look into acquiring former Twin Taylor Rogers or his brother Tyler Rogers. This model has the Twins signing a lot of former Twins in Theilbar, Coulombe, Vazquez, and Santana. I appreciate the write-up.
  16. Good catch. He's actually 2 for 12. It has been fixed.
  17. Dodgers learned their lesson with Snell. Letting Yamamoto try to finish it off.
  18. This is a similar storyline to Game One of the ALCS. In that game George Springer hit a leadoff home run off of Bryce Miller on the first pitch, and Miller shut out the Blue Jays from then on. Today, Jackson Chourio hit a first pitch leadoff bomb, and Yamamoto has shut out the Brewers since.
  19. Now if Robo-Skipper 5000 was managing, Peralta would have been out of the game earlier, and never would have given up the home run. Just saying.
  20. Dodgers offense is looking great. It's hard to imagine anybody beating them especially with how good their rotation is.
  21. Wow. Billy Amick is 0 for 5 with five strikeouts and two walks. That sounds like a little league stat line. Winokur also has five strikeouts. Hendry Mendez is an exciting bat. He has great contact skills. He has a high ground ball rate, but that could be one of the things that he is working on in the Fall League.
  22. I just watched the replay of the Frelick double play. Wow, that was something.
