    I am curious as to what needs to be sorted out with the ownership situation, the Pohlads own them with minority investors brought in last year. Is something changing that's been reported.

    It's time to thank Josh for a good job and move on. We need to get younger and more athletic, having a one dimensional player on the roster hinders that effort. We were 8 games under .500, we need to build a core moving forward and over 30 league average vets are not what is going to put us on that path.

    They started them early because of the weather moving up and down the east coast, nothing MLB can do about a major storm system.

    His words were he thought one person could do both roles and he didn't agree with the decision to take business operations away. I still don't what rebuild everyone refers to, they got rid of Duran and Jax, the only two significant pieces moved at the deadline. Then he signed Bell in December, not a sign of a rebuild. Falvey in his history always favored the veteran player over the younger prospects, so for him to do an about face, I don't believe that is what was happening.

    Falvey left because he got the business operations duties taken away from him, so he used that for an excuse to bolt.

    Roden again shows why he is a fourth outfielder at best, another mental mistake.

    They will wait as long as possible to play the game today. MLB doesn't want doubleheaders played tomorrow, it messes with scoreboard watching. They want the races decided on the field and not for a team to know their fate before taking the field.

    Why would they bring in another arm, you can't have depth of 10 or 12 arms that is not feasible.

    Would have like to ERod in there, Roden could have been DH for Bell. Every AB for ERod and Jenkins is critical. b

    I would rather keep just one and it would be Ober. Bring Kremer back to pitch out of the bullpen and provide depth. But I would prefer not to block the younger guys development with more 30 something average pitchers. Preilipp and Matthews have earned the right to start spring training in the rotation and others need to beat them out. I think starting Kremer tomorrow over Matthews is wrong and not the way to develop your pitchers. And please no piggybacking for either of these pitchers, either they are in the bullpen and provide length when needed or start but piggybacking just doesn't work.

    Lopez was definitely missed this year, by how many games who knows. But he has a track record of success, 2025 was the exception of his career. Yes counting on him for next year is still unknown, but I will take his track record over Bradley's.

    I don't disagree they changed it up, but that is why I really feel the signing was a huge mistake. Without Bell, we very likely would have seen ERod in LF at the beginning of the season and Larnach at DH. But the roster was constructed with Bell playing 1B, so any changes made were reactionary which they had to do, and not as effective because other pieces were already impacted.

    We have no idea what exactly Falvey's role, it was announced as a Senior advisor which may or not include personnel changes. Stearns isn't just going to fire the people he brought in so Falvey can bring in the people he wants. And I don't see how it hurts our front office and development program. We have been a sub .500 team for the last 10 years, so I am not sure the front office and development program is as strong as we want to think it is.

    Losing Lopez definitely hurt and not having Abel did hurt our depth. But to be fair we don't know how big of a loss Abel was. He has had a few good outings in the major leagues, does look like he has the stuff to be successful. But we don't know yet if or when he will he put it together. To me the biggest loss for Abel was development time.

    Bell was signed to play 1B, that was Falvey's comments at the time of the signing, which makes the signing even worse because teams know he is not a first baseman anymore.

    This is just making excuses for the Twins. Teams use their catcher many times as DH with only one other catcher on the roster, it is a very rare occasion that you have to go to your third catcher. We saw both Milwaukee and Atlanta use this exact tactic employing Dingler and Contreras as DH and only one other catcher when we played them. And they ran Jeffers out there something like 9 straight games so I am not sure how he was going to be used as a pinch hitter. To me this was a choice by the team with no real thought behind it and was one of many poor roster choices by Zoll this season.

    Example #1 why ERod is playing ahead of Roden. Roden doesn't make that play.

    In 90 plate appearances, he has had chances to grab a spot but hasn't taken advantage of it. He has hit better this time up in the majors, but he is not going to surpass ERod or Jenkins until one of them proves they can't play up here.

    It sounds like deGrom disproved this theory when he turned down a trade to Atlanta this year which would have been an upward trade. And I would guess that there have been others, it just was never reported. To me it doesn't seem like a good idea to speak for others, even it is something you would do, it doesn't mean others would do the same.

    There are two other higher ranked outfield prospects with more potential upside ahead of him currently. It is going to be hard for him to get playing time with ERod and Jenkins ahead of him.
