Caratini is owed $10m this year ($7m salary and $3m buyout). That probably keeps him as the starting C and that’s no bueno. I didn’t hate the signing at the time, but he looked cooked.Could be an ugly season behind the dish.

Twins were 22nd in walks per 9. Too many guys with shaky command.

    Quality over quantity.

C is a black hole position. I think they have to offer the QO but then be prepared for him to not accept it. They cannot roll into 2027 with Caratini as the starter.

2 years of team control. Gives Lackey and Tinney some time to develop. We cannot open the season with Caratini, he looked cooked.
  22. thelanges5
Not the Giants but how about Joe and Royce to the A’s for Langeliers?

Ryan for Casey Schmitt and a lottery AA pitcher.

Per Matthew Leach 9/29: • Anthony Banda (left lat surgery) is likely out until around the All-Star break of next season.

Ross should stay in Kriedlers spot. Hope they can find another trade partner for Larnach. Banda won’t be ready until mid-season so I’d move on from him. Martin is on the bubble for me.

Developmental success story. Good learning and transition season from starter to bullpen. Thanks for the analysis.

Lee had a .800 OPS against RHP and a .579 against LHP. Love to see him take a step forward as a RH bat. Otherwise it may be time for him to stop being a switch hitter.

Command vs control guy. I’d like to see him with Minter in the BP in 2027.

Trade Ryan, extend Pablo, sign Skubal.

Shelty gets a guy he knows. Per Matthew Leach: Had a brief chat with new Twins PC Brian Reith. One nugget I found interesting: he's known Shelton for almost 30 years. Shelton was on the coaching staff for low-A Greensboro in 1998, Reith's first year as a player in full-season ball.

💯 Not good enough with the glove and doesn’t hit good enough to be a primary DH.
