ANOTHER Trade: Brock Stewart Goes to Los Angeles Dodgers

Something to monitor,  the other player Houston wanted in the Correa trade was Castro.   My guess is the trade is dead but could be a reason why we have not had a Castro deal yet.

Ok, I officially hate this one.  Stewart has 2.5 years of control still, Outman is still a 4th ourfielder on the Twins and can't even platoon with Larnach and Wallner.

That makes no sense.

The Duran and Bader trades were fine IMO. This one isn't. If Outman was a few years younger then it would be different. But he isn't. He won't be anything more than a 4th outfielder once Rodriguez and/or Jenkins are up.

This is just a fire sale where they are taking whatever they can get.

Outman is basially Keirsey with a tad more power. Be interesting to see where he lands, and if he pushes Kiersey to the waiver wire, which means we lose Stewar and maybe Kiersey for this guy. 

Yes, he can play enter. So that was the big grab right now. He will go to the 40-man, which means we don't gain a spot and will likel;y stay there in the off-season.

So no prospects for Stewart, just a reclamation project in Outman... hmmm. Hitting about .130 the past 200 PAs after nearly winning Rookie of the Year in 2023. Strikeouts look like a big problem, and he's another lefty OF. Seems to be very good defensively. 

Four years of control on Outman vs 2.33 on Stewart... gotta say I thought Stewart was worth more than that. I'd love to see them fix Outman but it's hard to have faith in this coaching staff with the majority of the younger bats flailing away in the majors. He has to improve big time just to earn that 4th OF spot... I guess you play him every day the rest of the year and see if you get can him fixed up to be the Bader replacement for 2026.
