I feel like we have a roster constructed by the marketing department. Lots of familiar names. Some good 5 years ago, some 1st round picks who should be better than they are. A coaching staff reinforced with former Twins. It seems like it is designed to give fans the illusion of competency. -

With the lower projected payroll, Lopez has become the new Correa. His salary is 20% of the payroll. For a player that affects every 5th game.

Absolutely this! Spend and make the team better, or blow it all up and let the kids (actual young players) play. But, please don't trot out the same team for a third year in a row and expect different results!!!

This is one of the most reasonable scenarios I've heard for why anyone would invest in a minority stake in this team. Unfortunately, it doesn't bode well for the next 2 seasons 😕
