Amazingly, our plan coming in was to buy tickets for Tuesday and then plan to watch the game at a sports bar downtown on Wednesday.  Yesterday before the game we came to our senses and bought tickets for today too.

We fly out after today, so they'd better win.

Gut feeling for today's starting lineup?  Roll with the game one winning lineup, don't mess with the mojo?  I'm fine with it that approach.  Monkey is off their back, they can exhale from yesterday and then go at it again. Hang that crooked number up early again and let the pressure weigh down the shoulders of the Jays.

I kind of get the same feeling too. I know Polanco had a rough day, but he's a skilled vet, a clutch hitter, and with the win yesterday and a load off the shoulders I think he will do better hitting and acceptable at 3rd. It really gets into a conundrum when you start shuffling around Julien, Kirilloff, Farmer, Lewis, or whoever. As long as Lewis is GTG I say roll with it again. Pile up some runs and take the dang series! Go Twins!!

Wish the Red Wings were still with the Twins, but understand why they are not sadly for us. Being a farm lackey for the Gnats makes for painful summers. Wings most recent parent teams could square off for the AL Pennant this year. What a hoot

One good thing about Lopez’s good start yesterday is we can now openly say Berrios is back on track and a very good pitcher again in 2023. But didn’t Berrios once say he wanted to help the Twins win a World Series? 🤣

Polanco at 3rd scares the livin you-know-what outta me. He's a butcher over there. That play yesterday where CC bailed him out was one of the greatest plays I've ever seen a SS make. Most of us saw it real time, but take a minute to watch a replay of it, and see how far CC ran to get that grounder...and then throw an absolute seed, on the run, to Jeffers to nail the guy at home. Just frickin AWESOME! Let's beat Berrios today and rest up for the next round! Go Twins!

Would love to see the offense rattle Berrios early.  We have all seen it several times how he tries to start nibbling the edges when he gets a little rattled and the pitch count starts to climb.  The last thing we want to see today is that confident attacking Berrios.  

Prediction - Julien goes deep today.
