And 'Most Online' was 48,845 on Feb 21, 2021?!  What happened that day?

Polanco at 3rd scares the livin you-know-what outta me. He's a butcher over there. That play yesterday where CC bailed him out was one of the greatest plays I've ever seen a SS make. Most of us saw it real time, but take a minute to watch a replay of it, and see how far CC ran to get that grounder...and then throw an absolute seed, on the run, to Jeffers to nail the guy at home. Just frickin AWESOME! Let's beat Berrios today and rest up for the next round! Go Twins!

That was a tough grounder to field for an average 3B so i don’t fault Polanco for not coming up with it. What nobody has mentioned yet was that Correa had not moved over to backup the play in case he missed it, turning a normal play into a heroic one. Had he been there the runner wouldn’t have attempted to score.

No ... that's not how that play went. Correa was covering 2nd base. He was pulled way over because Julien was pulled way over. It was actually very heads up of him to get over there

Because the site was so slammed yesterday, couldn't get this posted.

Day late but sincere greetings from section 320 folks.

Bury Burrios, though I love him.

Yesterday's sellout, 38,450.

My estimate was 30,000. Tons of empty seats in upper bleachers as well as RF upper tiers.

Not sure who bought them. Did the Twins and then just put them on secondary market? On Monday afternoon, nothing was available in OF on Twins.com.

Tons available on secondary market. Not of consequence but just a curiosity for me.

18,700. That was roughly the crowd size in Tampa Bay. It's truly baffling to me that a  good team, year in and year out has such a hard time attracting fans. I know the start time and crappy stadium. But that area is a baseball hotbed for youth baseball. And Twins fan's had the metrodome. So what is it. And they're getting a new stadium.  What will the excuse be then. Or is it because their turnover is so high. Great at player/pitcher development.  But losing them or trading players as they approach FA.

A lot of Floridians are transplants, so they cheer on their 'first' team. Not to mention the Yankees have lots of inroads in that area due to doing their ST in Tampa.

Possible, if not likely, that many of those people were in the concourses or bars of TF.  Many places to roam and/or hide there.

Somebody did mention it in the game recap. It was one of those crazy plays that worked out just right, that we will always remember.

That’s my plan today! Bought a nose bleed ticket in the 300s and plan to walk the concourse enjoying the experience

Certainly not the first, most definitely not the last to do that.  Just get in the door!

Half of those empty seats were probably in Truly.

Yeah, when I've had nosebleed seats, I've always tried to belly up to the OF bar railings when given a chance.

Exactly what I would do!

As a youngster, I used to love the third deck at the Met! Bird's-eye view! And I think they were like $3 in the early 1970s.

Have fun, I had a SRO ticket yesterday and watched the game in probably 5 different places and had a blast.

I didn’t see any SRO tickets as an option to buy on the sites I looked at. I would have done that to be honest. Oh well, it wasn’t too bad with the fees and everything tacked on top of the ticket price.

From what I read. Taxpayers are funding 600 million, the Rays 700 million. Taxpayers funded the majority of Target Field if I'm not mistaken. But 1.3 billion. That's a big number. It better be nice.

Per the broadcast team: other than covid related 2020, today's "crowd" in St Pete is the smallest since 1919.

Wow.

So that was the Black Sox series. Who had the smaller crowd?  Cinci or Chicago?  And you were around then Chief, who were you rooting for? Say it ain't so
