OMG! For ONE NIGHT we see how the other half has been living playing against us! I feel guilty as a fan!

 

I promise we will lose another game or two here or there and try to have a few more close victories.

 

I am sorry our FO looks so smart and built a great and fun team with power, production, defense, versatility, quality SP and a decent/good bullpen with talent to spare to make a trade or two to get even better.

 

We probably deserved a loss like tonight. May our sacrifice of a worn-edged Homer Hankie on a pure be a suitable sacrifice to the baseball gods. (Anyone actually have one they want to do that with)?

The Twins are on pace to win 110 games and have the best record in baseball! Will they? Probably not. The team is on pace for 310 home runs! Will they? Probably not. Rosario is on pace to hit 50 home runs! Will he? Probably not.

 

The road has been smooth and we've been cruising! Will be there be bumps in the road? There will be bumps in the road! There most likely will be potholes in the road! There will be road construction! There will be detours onto winding rural roads! There may be ditches! Stalled engines! All while everyone is shouting, "Are we there yet?"

I'm not going to parse through the record books but I'm fairly confident every team in history has given up more than ten runs and have lost by at least that same margin. It it were to happen all four games in this series I'd certainly begin to worry and push for bolstering our pitching staff. This game was like most roads in MN right now - a big pothole.

We did get thumped that part didnt really bother me because it happens, what I didnt like was all the fielding errors and the part were Rosie didnt hustle for the ball. Is that why he was pulled that inning?

Just another loss to a good team. Twins have a losing record against the good teams. Nothing new here.

I knew they were a fluke. Anyone can have the best record in baseball through 2 months. Everybody hits home runs, that doesn't make them special. This is it. They're coming down to earth, and it's going to be messy. Might as well start trading off pieces now to build toward 2020. Maybe next year will be our year guys.
