RaoulDuke Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Why did we the rookie with control problems in with the bases full again? And why didn't we have a backup plan ready?
jorgenswest Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Just wondering... Is there anything a catcher can do here when pitchers lose complete control? We have seen this the last two games.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 De Jong and Vasquez both need to be gone.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 This is a f#$%^ng joke.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Twins front office tried to get too cute with their Manger hiring. Isn't paying off so far.Someone tapped your knee and it jerked.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Probably the most disgusting pitching performance from a team I've seen since....last night in the bottom of the 9th.
Tibs Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Just wondering...Is there anything a catcher can do here when pitchers lose complete control? We have seen this the last two games. He could ask the pitcher very nicely to throw a strike
nytwinsfan Provisional Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 umm, what the hell just happened.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Just wondering... Is there anything a catcher can do here when pitchers lose complete control? We have seen this the last two games."Here, you put this gear on and I'll do the pitching..."
Blake Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 I'd rather have taken my chances with Odorizzi at this point.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 So the last two Odo games.... he loads the bases, and Baldy calls in two minor league pitchers... Harper, and Vasquez...... and they both allow all inherited runners to score. WTF. What is wrong with his brain?
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 De Jong and Vasquez both need to be gone. I"m not ready to give up on Vasquez, but I sure wouldn't put him into that situation! All on Rocco the Rookie.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Everyone in the stadium knows he's going to walk him. We know he's going to walk him. The Mets know it. The Twins know it. What is happening? Why?Does everyone include Rocco?
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 I only half-heartedly pay attention to this team at this point due to the pitching staff, but why was Vazquez called up?
David HK Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 OK, I'll risk being reported for language here, but what in the living H was that kid still doing in there facing Cano? I was no Molly fan, esp. regarding bullpen issues, but not even he would have been this brain-dead. Of course, he wouldn't even have brought the kid into a situation like that in the first place.
goulik Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Mind boggling use of a rookie in the bull pen MIND BOGGLING
twins_89 Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Five walks and hit batter in six consecutive plate appearances. I really don't understand the decision making process tonight.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 First walk after the Hit Batter.... and pull him. Save the game. This is just unbelievable.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Who changed the channel? I want the other game I was watching!
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Someone tapped your knee and it jerked.Maybe. But he looks in over his head so far.
adorduan Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Sure would have been nice to get a bullpen arm or two in the off season, but what do I know,,,,,,
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Just wondering...Is there anything a catcher can do here when pitchers lose complete control? We have seen this the last two games.Tequila shots or some sort of heavy duty valium.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 This is 25% on Baldelli and 75% on Falvine for ignoring the most glaring weakness any club could possibly have the entire offseason.
wavedog Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Throwing this game away. Never seen such control problems between Gibson, De Jong, Odorizzi and Vazquez
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Scintillating game we've got going here.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Twins pitching looks like a bad Low-A team right now. This is like watching a low end developmental league.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Major League baseball? 7 free passes in a row? May be a historical record. Ron Darling, "I've never seen anything like this in my life. Wait, the nightmare isn't over.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 I don't think I've seen anything like this.
