Vasquez’ control (or lack thereof) doesn’t play at the MLB level. It might get AAA hitters to swing and miss. MLB hitters are far more discerning.

In Rocco's defense, it wouldn't been hard to anticipate the complete and total meltdown by Odorizzi. Getting Vasquez warm was a backup plan that hard to seem unlikely.

Some extremely bad managing this inning. Baldelli let Odorizzi stay in way too long when it was clear he'd lost it and then throwing Vasquez out there was a very bad decision.

Don't understand leaving Vasquez in. He can't do this. 

 

Everyone in the stadium knows he's going to walk him. We know he's going to walk him. The Mets know it. The Twins know it.
