Draft Day is finally upon us! You've found the right place to follow the day's events, and you're all invited to be a part of the conversation.

This year’s draft will again feature just 20 rounds. Day 1, which begins at 6 p.m. CT and can be viewed on ESPN and MLB Network, will include the first and second rounds as well as both competitive balance rounds and all compensation rounds. There will be 80 selections total.

The Twins will make three picks tonight, with the first one coming 8th overall in the first round. They will also draft 48th overall in the second round and will make a selection in competitive balance round B at 68th overall. The draft will continue on Monday with round 3, beginning at 1 p.m. CT.

We're excited to introduce the Twins Draft Tracker which will be kept up-to-date not only during the draft but through the entire signing period. So keep coming back for updates!

1 (8) - Brooks Lee, SS, Cal Poly

I liked Parada as well.  It was a tough call there for me but I think in the end Lee is a bit more athletic and with Parada's potential arm issues behind the plate he could have ended up at 1st base o

Not sure where you are getting your info but even MLB.com has his arm ranked as a 55 which is above average.  He has been playing shortstop and some outlets like Fangraph's think he could still stick

Barring a dramatic Johnson slide, it's probably a college bat (Berry, Collier, Gross) for the Twins. They could be tempted by Prielipp or Oklahoma right-hander Cade Horton, both of whom have recovered completely from 2021 Tommy John surgeries.

Mayo: Zach Neto, SS, Campbell (No. 17)
Collier looks good in their model because of his age, but I'm still getting the feeling the Twins prefer a college bat as well.

Lee would probably be too good to pass on here, and if not, look for the Twins to cut with a college bat. Based on talk later in the round, I don’t think Jace Jung is one of those.

Tech catcher parada  would be my choice as well ,,, Maybe not a complete five tool player  but could be better in the future with more experience working through the minor and maybe in a couple of years be in the bigs  ... this is a position  that is needed  , 

It's doubtful he will be available  but  anything can happen

Hoping for Parada, Lee or Lesko. Either of the 1st two would require some under slot deals before the Twins pick and luck. Lesko would be a bit high for a coming of TJ and full slot signing bonus.

All the way to 20? That seems a bit far for someone who was expected to be a top 5 pick before TJ. Although the extra slot $ from the trade would give them the ammo to get him to skip going to Vandy

If Parada cant be a MLB catcher (ringe receiver and ball-blocker with a 45 arm), he we be a lot like Berry or Kyle Schwarber.

True, but the Twins have been quite successful lately turning questionable defensive catchers into at least average ones.

I'm not that worried about it, at least not to the point where I would pass on him if he's there at 8.

Right, I think we should be prepared for a scenario where the Twins don't take whoever falls too.  They guy(s) that fall to the bottom might not be all that highly regarded by the Twins either.

Still, I doubt the Twins were going to be in on Rocker so it seems to be setting up pretty well to get someone they like.

Even though Texas took Rocker if the Mets are buying Green to drop down Twins still could miss out on top 7.  Next three picks and we will know.
