Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 What will Sano’s batting average be when he eventually gets his first hit? Over/under .050?
HokieRif Verified Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 WTF is Sano looking at??? That was right down the middle of the plate!!!!
wavedog Verified Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Please let Sano sit a few days - maybe until June

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Twins management, whether it be Rocco or the FO, manage the season like there are 500 games to be played. So many “whatever” games where losing doesn’t seem to be all that bad of an outcome. Head scratching
shortround81 Verified Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 I'm sure everyone is trying their best. I have nothing negative to say about anybody
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 I'm not sure which is worse... watching the Twins not give the Dodgers a game, or listening to Bremeau backstop the Dodgers' decision to not even give Kershaw a chance to get a couple of quick outs to extend his 80 pitch perfect game and see where it went from there.
LastOnePicked Verified Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Funny how the "cold weather" just doesn't seem to hurt our opponents' bats. Maybe Twins pitching is the antidote.

The PA should have demanded that players brought up to the major leagues received 15 days minimum pay and service whether the were DFA'ed or not. The manipulation of pitchers does nothing for the players or game. MLB went to 28 person rosters and teams have 16 pitchers yet a couple of teams are using fielders to throw in the games. The rules need to force managers into managing the game using 25 players. It is a definite turn for the worse in baseball.

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Kinda shows the gap between a legit contender and a wannabe. Still a ways to go, I think. Maybe near, maybe far.

It's almost like we're from a different developmental league. 10 games would give us a better feel, but I'm guessing the Dodgers still would win nine of those.

He also used the appropriate BP arms considering the situation.

It was a 3 run game not a blowout
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 I honestly don’t know what they see in Jax. Almost every pitcher on staff (besides Rodriguez today) I understand. They have something to their game. Jax is the one that I’m lost on.

You literally just watched the best organization in baseball pull a future HOFer 6 outs from a perfect game after 80 pitches. This isn't a Rocco thing, it's a baseball thing.

BsuNemo Verified Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Thoughts on the first week of ball - The twins will struggle against good pitching - we don't make enough contact. The Paddock trade makes no sense to me at all. We will give away a game a week because of "rest". I'm hopeful for Archer and Bundy to give us decent starts though. Maybe similar to what we got out of Big Mike? Can't we get Miranda up somehow? He'd give us so much more than an injured Kirloff and the typical Sano. Also, lets get a good look at Gordon someway, somehow. Thoughts on this - is it Rocco's philosophy that leads to the Twins being one of the worse teams in baseball the last two years with runners in scoring position and bad defense or is it the players that we have?
