Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Okay, pulling a guy out of a perfect game is one bridge too far, modern baseball. Now what would be amazing is if the Twins win the game. That'd be so damned funny.

TouchEmAllGuy Verified Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Hate that they are taking him out. Ugh..
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 How do you come out of a game 6 outs away from a perfect game? Total joke

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Kershaw’s only 80 pitches in, and there have been 23 perfect games in MLB history. Incredibly disappointing if they don’t give him the chance to finish the game.
gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Wanting another inning out of Rodriguez was a bit much. Not Rocco's best day.
Musk21 Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 I realize it is 36 degrees, but he's only at 80 pitches. Go for the perfect game!
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 I remember this from last year. Leaving a reliever out to dry only to DFA him the next day.

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Solid strategy here by the Twins. Kershaw's going to get cold sitting in the bullpen waiting for this half inning to end.

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 13, 2022 Author Posted April 13, 2022 Honestly not even sure why you'd bother bringing another reliever into this game. Twins are not coming back
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Twins looking for more consistency from their pitching, and they get consecutive homers to the same seat in right field...

We're talking about a first ballot HOF'er at the end of his career. You let him make the decision-so he's not coming out.

Muppet Verified Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 No better day to give up a bunch of home runs.
Azviking101 Verified Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Day off tomorrow, why has he been allowed to give up 3 straight HRs? 3-0 or 4-0 is too much to overcome? I get the bats have sucked, but why does Rocco just give up?
Musk21 Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 2 minutes ago, HokieRif said: Send him to St. Paul please. I mean he pitched 3 innings and almost 50 pitches of 0 R, 0H ball after walking the first 2 guys he faced. He shouldn't have been sent out for a 4th inning.
