USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 He is. But as our 3rd or 4th reliever making $5 million bucks, I'd gladly take him back. Wouldn't you?I don't want Romo back. He's been pretty good, and certainly helped this team, but he's living on a literal knife's edge of effectiveness. I want bullpen arms like the Yankees have.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 MOMENT TO ME WAS TO BIG FOR OUR 1ST YEAR COACH, Hope he realizes it,he will never say it , and Team reflected it
wavedog Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Maybe we are cooling Chapman off with this long inning? Trying to find anything positive
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Why is Baldelli waiving the white flag again letting Romo out to dry for 25+ pitches? "We had that in the plan, it's just what we do. I scripted that before the game started and that's our guy there. I believe in him. I would do it again.".......
JeffReboulet Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Man, what I wouldn't give for a Gardy tantrum right about now. (Yes, I said it).

Krabby5 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Well...i guess there has to be one state where everything goes wrong for their sport’s teams. The “you can’t make it up” moments for 30 years.
Dakota15 Provisional Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I totally get not winning the whole thing, but to be the first 100 win team (I believe) swept first round and outscored 23 (and counting) to 7 in said sweep....is something. Only team in the postseason this year to be swept just makes it even more fitting
JNess21 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Maybe we are cooling Chapman off with this long inning? Trying to find anything positiveHonestly this could work... Just cant give up any more runs

Agree, he's a slightly more effective Blake Parker at this point in his career.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 C'mon now guys... Figure it out.
Blake Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Just keep it close, all the Twins need to do and it looks like it isn't going to happen. The Twins just have to give up a crooked number to the Yankees.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Coaches have as much responsibility for positioning as the player, and coaches get their information from the wonks up at the computers.Right, that's my point. I'm pretty positive he was positioned there on purpose, and not by his random choice.

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I really want the Twins to have a manager that is pissed off after this series performance, but we all know Rocco is just going give out the "it was a great season" cliches after the game.Seemed like a pretty good season to me. Usually the season doesn’t end with a game thread up to 60 pages.

I want starters like Houston and the Nationals have. Or the Mets. But mostly Houston. Hey, maybe one of Houston's will be available, soon?
ScooterDance Provisional Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Front office: plan is to draft position players and trade them for high end pitching. When we’re positioned to go all-in we will. Trade deadline:Front office:Trade deadline:Front office:

gocgo Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Well gang, it's been a hell of a year. A lot went right, but a lot went wrong. We've seen Kepler, Polanco, Garver, and Sano all take a huge step forward and we've seen the emergence of Arraez. We are a different team without Buxton roaming CF. We traded for an upgrade to the pen which didn't work out so well. Arguably our best starter got suspended. Those were all things that we needed to advance. Next year, we will be the favorites in the Central to repeat. We will need a lot to go right again to do that. Peace out! P.S. I hate the Yankees more than ever, but I still love my Twins. P.P.S. Go 'stros.
Bandit34 Provisional Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Isn't it wonderful that the Yankees are getting one last kick in for good measure? Boy I don't like those guys.

I'm not convinced he is.

Krabby5 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 As bad as the Twins have played this series...I give the Yankees credit. They are money when it counts. Their hitters are relentless.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Didi may be the greatest player of all time if he just played the twins. My goodness
ashbury Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I want bullpen arms like the Yankees have.Yeah, I'm back to my initial impression after Game 1. We can play armchair manager and suggest what Rocco might have done differently. But May coming in and giving up that single, simply reinforces.... they just don't have the horses.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I guess that is what you get when your pitcher get so much rest and get rusty....
