    Um, yeah. I get it, incredible 100 win season, but the team was just totally outclassed and outplayed over 3 games. It would have been nice if he could have at least acknowledged the fanbase's justified frustration. Of course he should be proud of the regular season, but this is the immediate reaction after a very lopsided series loss? Between the piss poor bullpen management, a playoff series in which we weren't competitive, and this chill interview, I'm over Rocco. I apologize in advance for an overdramatic hot take post, but this interview kinda pissed me off. Come on!

    Bwhahahahahaha. Let's leave Sergio in for the entire inning, okay, Rocco? I hate this series. I'm an optimistic person; I've loved the Twins through so many bad years, so this season has been a blast. But, man, this series has really soured the season. Not competitive, totally outclassed, uninspired.

    Some bad luck, tonight, yes, and terrible with RISP. But, yet again, our poor defense leads to a run and the Yankees defense has been STELLAR all series, and has saved god knows how many runs. Target Field is so dead. Just depressing.

    I agree that the "Nolasco flaunts his love for Cali" line is definitely a manifestation of our Minnesota (sports) inferiority complex. Whatever. Like a few others, I don't think he was as godawful as his final line looked today. Still not close to acceptable, but I'm determined to wait a few weeks to see how Ricky (and the entire team!) respond. If it's still bleak at the end of the month, we can always go with the nuclear option: #bringbackgardy

    Bottom line: As much as it sucks Santana is gone half the season, I find the roster construction by far the most perplexing/disappointing/aggravating/exasperating point heading into spring. Hopefully the roster looks significantly better May 1st... Or maybe Ryan and Molitor have some sort of diabolical master plan regarding their decisions this spring? Everything's just a big let down. In February optimism and expectations were high (probably artificially, but still). But now this is by far the least excited I've been for the season to start in years.

I actually like Olbermann's commentary more on this one...somehow it sounds vaguely familiar, as if I've read on TD recently. :-) St. Peter's initial response was really overly defensive and didn't do him or the Twins any favors. Maybe he's reevaluated his position, as his response to this segment was something along the lines of "Thanks, I'm honored, love the show."

    Hmmm, I'd rather see Escobar there at SS over Nunez, but whatever. I think he deserves to start almost every day. Too many days off. If Arcia is there, why isn't he in the starting lineup?

    I guess if I had to prioritize a wish list (instead of "blow the whole damn thing up"), I'd go with: 1. Get all the aging veterans out of here. Release them, trade them for whatever value you can get. Meyer, May, Atcher, Polanco, Pinto, etc all need to be up here and playing. I can stomach watching another 90 loss season with the future....not so much with these stale aging vets. 2. Gardenhire gone. I guess I could live with him through the end of the year (and very likely will), but he is not who I want managing our new young, raw roster. It's time for a change. The fact he was extended two years last year makes my hair fall out even faster than my normal male pattern baldness allows.... (3) GM change. I am unsure on this. I like Ryan, and while he has some definite weaknesses I don't think it necessary for him to resign this year or next, especially if we can get 1 and 2 taken care of.

    Based on what we've seen so far from him, he can wear his oversized jersey however he wants. Who really cares, other than the opposing team's fans? Not every MLB player can have a well-fitting uniform and an impeccable studly mustache.

    SSS in the extreme but I am liking Escobar and Fuld at the bottom of the lineup... they don't look futile and lost at the plate. Refreshing change.

    Last night's game was entertaining as hell to watch. And we won. It is easy to forget sometimes, even when we win a few games, how much fun baseball can be to watch. Well on my way to buying a Deduno shirsey. Even though his control was worse than it had been the past few weeks, he put together 7 solid innings. And how can you not love the emotion and fire and all sorts of crazy he shows on the mound!? And the Twins organization definitely deserves credit for signing him and bringing on. So often we all criticize the front office for signing all these AAAA guys but Deduno is a success story.
