USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 There's ample evidence Rogers doesn't handle a second inning well...yet he pitches a second inning and gives up a run. Romo out for a second inning...and gives up a run. Rocco has had a really piss poor post season (along with several players), there's just no way around it.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Can someone wake Rocco up? WTF is he thinking right now.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I'm going to assume the metrics placed him there.Me too, but WHY? It makes absolutely no sense. I'm not blaming Sano, I'm blaming Baldelli... but, again, WHY?
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Why is Baldelli waiving the white flag again letting Romo out to dry for 25+ pitches?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Remember the time we were up 2-0 in the first game? Been pretty much hell since thenBeen out scored 22-3
insagt1 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I'm on the fence on Sano too. Could we get a high-end starter for each?I would definitely consider trading Sano. I'd let Rosario stay.
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Please tell me Romo is a free agent after the year.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Stole a base because we let them and have surrendered
howeda7 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I'm starting to feel the same way about Rocco I did about Gardy: Let him manage the regular season. Bring in TK for the play-offs.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 ROMO FALLING ASLEEP. TEAM HAS NOT BEEN PREPARED, TOTALLY iNTIMITADED

If we all notice this, why doesn't the manager? and the whole metric team?
wickedslider Provisional Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Yup... Whatever the Yankees have done right, the Twins have managed to do wrong. Like Sano standing on the front half of the dirt with two outs and missing a ball by a few inches. WHAT THE HELL WAS HE EVEN DOING THEREI wondered that same thing. IIRC there was a guy on 3rd but with 2 outs he didn't need to worry about him. If he'd have been back at the proper depth he most likely catches that ball.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Rocco has had a really piss poor post season (along with several players), there's just no way around it.I'm not one to critique literally every move by the manager but I'm getting real tired of watching Baldelli talk an analytics game and running a Gardenhire game.
Dakota15 Provisional Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Remember though, "this team is different"
howeda7 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Please tell me Romo is a free agent after the year. He is. But as our 3rd or 4th reliever making $5 million bucks, I'd gladly take him back. Wouldn't you?
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 We could use Sam Dyson right about now!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 We saving May for something? Spring. Someone's gotta follow April. No stripper jokes, please.
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Twins will have a new manager within the next three seasons.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Twins baseball media last week: 'These new Twins aren't intimidated by the Yankees one bit. They're dying to face them down in the playoffs!' Me, if I looked like Han Solo:
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I really want the Twins to have a manager that is pissed off after this series performance, but we all know Rocco is just going give out the "it was a great season" cliches after the game.

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I'm going to assume the metrics placed him there.Coaches have as much responsibility for positioning as the player, and coaches get their information from the wonks up at the computers.

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Is there any possible reason why Romo is out there for 30 pitches? Any at all?
JeffReboulet Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Bwhahahahahaha. Let's leave Sergio in for the entire inning, okay, Rocco? I hate this series. I'm an optimistic person; I've loved the Twins through so many bad years, so this season has been a blast. But, man, this series has really soured the season. Not competitive, totally outclassed, uninspired.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Wonder if this goes different is JO is left in for the sixth
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 He is. But as our 3rd or 4th reliever making $5 million bucks, I'd gladly take him back. Wouldn't you? 4th reliever sure but would prefer saying thanks and good luck wherever you end up.
