I totally get not winning the whole thing, but to be the first 100 win team (I believe) swept first round and outscored 23 (and counting) to 7 in said sweep....is something.

 

Only team in the postseason this year to be swept just makes it even more fitting

It's still been a great season and there is a lot for this team to build on.

 

Yeah, this series was bad but, realistically, the Twins really didn't have the pitching to compete.

 

Hopefully, the pitching holes are filled in the off-season.

 

I was at least hoping the Twins would make a better showing, but, as of right now, it isn't going to happen.

Agree, he's a slightly more effective Blake Parker at this point in his career. 

 

And at 36 he's two years older, which is getting up there for a guy who hasn't exactly been unhittable the last couple of seasons. That's getting into 'rent by the day' territory.

Twins will not be favorites to win division let alone make playoffs again. This is a one and done. A Lot went right for Twins this year. They have 1 starter back Berrios, only Ordorizzi worth bringing back, and there will be lots of competition and high cost for him now. 1 of 5 starters back not a good way to start offseason.

Who's going to beat them? Cleveland? The team that cut payroll going into 2019 and saw attendance decline this year?

 

Whereas the Twins should have a considerable amount of money to spend this offseason... Now, whether they spend enough is an argument to be tackled in the coming months but they definitely HAVE the money to spend.
