    Develop our own ace...didn't we just complete a draft in which 1 of our first 10 selections was even a pitcher? Just seems like developing starting pitchers, over the last 25 years, is something we rarely prosper in

    I totally get not winning the whole thing, but to be the first 100 win team (I believe) swept first round and outscored 23 (and counting) to 7 in said sweep....is something. Only team in the postseason this year to be swept just makes it even more fitting

    Not even kneejerk, I'm all for trading Sano while he has value - I just can never see him hitting when the stakes are high or the lights are the brightest in the postseason

    Considering Perez has been riding a 6.2 ERA the last 2 months, the betting money seems to say they're going to stick with him in the rotation sink-or-swim, otherwise I feel a pivot to the bullpen or IL stint would have been made by this point. Hope I'm wrong but that seems to be the prevailing theme

    I don't want to burn the pen by any stretch before this weekend, but not sure leaving Perez in to get rocked is a great play either.
