GardyParty Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Sano is on pace for 280 strikeouts. That is of course based on a typical Sano (injured) season. 300 k's is not out of the realm out of possibility.
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Cello Quartet. Very nice!Hrbowski approves.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Has Lynn always been this, uh hefty? No, he's slimmed down a few pounds after working with the vaunted conditioning coach Eric Cressey.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Ok. 5 walks. I’d say that’s enough for today. Over 70 pitches.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Oops ... sorry I didn't get the lineups up ... was at the gym and playing tennis ... didn't realize it was an early game today ...

GardyParty Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 And what do ya know? A strikeout for #22 10 in 16 abs now

LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 (edited) i'm all tingly in anticipation of today's "rapid reactions" thread! This should provide some relief. Also makes a great last-minute baby shower gift. Edited April 2, 2018 by LaBombo Dave The Dastardly and mickeymental 2
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 That's 2 bunts for base hits to third already today--any chance Dozier isn't the clubhouse leader we've been led to believe? Also, surprise surprise, Danny thinks Dozier's comments were absolutely correct.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 On what basis is someone defending those comments? Ugh Vanimal46 1
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 It took about 18 hours for us to see the shoe on the other foot. Would be a great time to see Joe pull one into the right field corner and let out a triplehahahahahaha. good one. bird 1
Doubles Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Curveball, high fastball, curveball in the dirt. That's how to strike out Buxton in 3 pitches. The Pirates know this, we know this...seems the Twins hitting coaches do not.Hitting a baseball is slightly more difficult than a coach telling a batter, "Hey, big fella- go up there & hit the ball. Try not to whiff, okay?"
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 On what basis is someone defending those comments? Ugh I came in halfway through his thought, and only heard him say that Sisco is a young player, and the Orioles do have veteran leadership. Also, Dozier thinks Taillon should man up and swing the bat. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of veterans in the Pirates clubhouse to take care of it.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Lynn and Gibson seem to be in a walking contest.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 (edited) That’s 6. Is anyone even warming up? Edited April 2, 2018 by yarnivek1972 mickeymental 1
mickeymental Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 (edited) didn't even know snyone was on the 40-man roster. edit: never mind! Edited April 2, 2018 by mickeymental
Oldgoat_MN Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 That’s 6. Is anyone even warming up?Yes. He has >90 pitches already and is scheduled to bat soon.

Also, Dozier thinks Taillon should man up and swing the bat. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of veterans in the Pirates clubhouse to take care of it.1. the amount of comments about the bunt on Twins Daily exceed the amount of comments by the players by a factor approaching 1000-1. 2. the players involved understand why the bunt would raise eyebrows, but do nothing else. 3. Gladden didn't actually defend the comments, but noted the Orioles, earlier in the 9th, did not hold a runner on first, indicating they believed the game to be over, and the Twins did not take the free base, indicating they accepted the same situation 4. my guess is the veteran leadership on the Orioles let the rookie know it's not a big deal, but we don't play like that in the big leagues. Danchat Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 In contrast to how Gibson and Odorizzi were wild but effective, Lynn has been ineffectively wild. That's 6 walks already.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 First and last thought about yesterday; if you don't want someone to bunt when down 7-0 in the 9th, then don't use the infield shift when up 7-0 in the 9th. woolywoolhouse, bird, BoofBonser and 5 others 8
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Even on one of his worst days, Lynn is giving the Twins a chance to come backThe bats don't seem to want to accept the offer
gocgo Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 OK, boys, let's get to the Pirates bullpen and get back into this thing. Jerr 1
