Lemme get this straight: Castro on 3rd, 3B "40 feet from the bag," Joe Mauer batting, and he's a very good bunter, but he didn't bunt, and Castro didn't lead off 30 feet. They were conceding a run on a bunt down the line. Twins decided to swing away, fly ball, no runs score.

If the Twins do come back to win this one, you have to give Lynn some credit.  Terrible first inning, regrouped and gave us 3 more innings to give us time to adjust.  I always hate it when the Twins get to a pitcher early, only to see him go another few innings, so I appreciate being on the other side of the coin.

There being no reliever warmed up and available in the bullpen, Lynn was in the unenviable situation of having to relieve himself on the mound.
