Doubles Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 I can acknowledge that Lynn has been all over the place thus far, but if that dope behind the plate doesn't start calling strikes, this is gonna be a long game. Danchat 1
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 I think it's safe to say we're going to see the bullpen today. Jerr 1
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Welp. Hopefully we can split the series bighat 1
David HK Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 What's up with this Moran guy? If ever anybody needed to get thrown some 'chin music...' I can't wait til these stupid looking beards go the way of the mullet. bird 1
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 If Lynn gets this out right here, I will give him 6 cheeseburgers *puts cheeseburgers back in pocket* MN_ExPat 1
Doubles Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 No such thing as a bad one year contract...
bighat Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Couldn't have a worse debut. Just awful.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Wow, that one needed a flight attendant. Maybe the shutouts were not totally sustainable. Dave The Dastardly 1
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 67.5 is unsustainable, it can only get better.... Dantes929 1

bighat Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 On the plus side, the 'pen can get some work in today. Guessing we'll see Taylor Rodgers, maybe a couple others who haven't yet pitched. BoofBonser 1
lukeduke1980 Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 They've really only hit a couple balls hard...
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 btw, this is where i just leave him in for at least 80 pitches......and don't worry about taking him out in inning 2 if he's struggling. Save the pen... Jerr, Squirrel and MN_ExPat 3
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Couldn't have a worse debut. Just awful. Completely inaccurate. Lynn has recorded 3 outs--recording none would obviously have been worse. MN_ExPat 1

big dog Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 All right boys, here we go. Time to set a tone for the rest of the season: "This shall not stand."

wavedog Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 On a positive note if there is one, there are plenty of innings left to mount a comeback. Jerr 1
sswen Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 What a difference a day makes. How long is Santana out?
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 btw, this is where i just leave him in for at least 80 pitches......and don't worry about taking him out in inning 2 if he's struggling. Save the pen... I mean, you have 8 guys in the pen, a day off tomorrow, and a day off Friday. I don't think the pen needs to be saved. Barring us getting back into the game however, Kinley needs to pitch today. Squirrel, MN_ExPat and Mike Sixel 3
gocgo Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Well, there's the 5 of that 5-3 loss I predicted. Not a lot of room for error the rest of the game. Hope that was first inning jitters. Also, would like to see Morrison get a hit today to get him going, but no DH today.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Kinda looking like maybe Lynn should have been held back longer. I know I asked after the signing if Lynn had a minor league option. The general consensus was that he did. There really would have been no reason for him to decline a two week (or maybe even less) assignment. Sure, the cold probably isn’t helping. But it doesn’t seem to be bothering his mound opponent.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Where is Phil Hughes when you need him? ducks.... this was not a serious request.... Oldgoat_MN 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Look at everyone bundled up in the stands. It will never ever happen but the season should not start until mid April.
kydoty Verified Member Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 So are we not allowed to bunt against the shift now? Squirrel, wavedog, Mike Sixel and 1 other 4
