I think Jenkins is ready. Period.

The ONLY reason to keep him down is a BS reason for a potential rookie of the year draft pick in 2027, which is a long shot. Also, the consideration of a lock out that would allow him to play in early 2027 shouldn't be ignored.  It might be the best thing for his career considering youth and development time missed.

But we also have to remember Rodriguez. He's out of options.  He's older than Jenkins, has more time at AAA, and is more than ready based on talent and production.

He's either going to be "hid" like a rule 5 pick, or the Twins will FINALLY be smart enough to live with mistakes  and just let him play and learn.

It's what the Brewers do. I'm not saying Rodriguez is the next Chourio, but Chourio wasn't Courio until he got an opportunity to be what he is today with struggles along the way.

The Twins should understand that going forward.

I agree especially considering they are now not using 2 roster spots.  They don't even trust Roden who is an outfielder to come in for defensive purposes in the late innings.  So there are no AB's available for these guys.

I have to give Zoll some real credit for the deadline deals that they made. This bullpen is decent since the deadline. I think back to all the deadlines that came and went with Falvley and not much positive was ever accomplished. The defense is borderline horrible yet here we are.

The defense that is borderline terrible was also constructed with the assistance of Zoll.   He made some good deadline moves, but he has helped lead us to the roster construction that we currently have and wish was better.

Patience will be rewarded I feel. This season is becoming the proving ground for a solid team. I still don’t think they make  the playoffs but I have to give them credit for a team that while is often frustrating, are fun to watch.

They are definitely fun to watch but can they take the next step to be a competitive team and take advantage of the work Shelty is doing in the dugout.  I personally don't think Zoll is the one to do it, this team has been basically a .500 team with him being one of the key decision makers and advisor to Falvey.

Jenkins led off the Saints game with a HR again, he's doing everything he can to force a decision.

He needs to hit a ball in St. Paul and have it land in Minneapolis. Otherwise, the Twins FO isn't impressed.

I cannot remember a team that is so hot and cold - so contradictory from series to series.  Fun - yes, maddening? Absolutely.

..........which is why we all should stop making silly blanket statements.  Except against Kriedler.  He's been the one consistent force behind the pew

I struggle to remember a year when the Twins picked up three players at the deadline who contributed at least a little. Most years it seemed they picked up zero players who contributed and some years they picked up players who actually made things worse or brought their own mini-crises with them. In 1987, they got Schatzeder, Baylor, Niekro, and Carlton, and Baylor, and Baylor and Schatzeder contributed in the postseason, but Niekro and Carlton were bad innings-eaters at best.

I think this year's deals were wrong for the organization, but am also glad that they are working instead of not working.

I agree going to San Diego to watch all three games, hope we stay hot.

I've seen all 30 parks and San Diego is my favorite. Weather will be fantastic because it almost always is. The Gaslamp district near Petco is a great hangout area and the Stadium is interesting and beautiful.
