  1. I appreciate this take on the Jenkins situation. I would have loved to see the Twins call him up weeks ago, but at the same time, there are a lot of factors that we as fans might not always be privy to, as this article demonstrates. I just hope he gets his chance sooner than later. Curious how Gleeman would react to this given his spicy take on the podcast yesterday.
  2. Well that's a series dub! Against the mighty Braves, no less. Time to get greedy tomorrow. Post-deadline: 6-8 Overall: 62-65
  3. About time. Post-deadline: 5-8 Overall: 61-65
  4. Beautifully written. Might be time to dust off my glove ask my dad for a catch. It's been too long. Also, glad to see other sappy girl dads around here. :)
  5. Uffda. Tough to be a fan rn. Post-deadline: 4-8 Overall: 60-65
  6. I'm not sure I follow you. Seems like Larnach has been quite productive this year, despite the drop in power.
  7. In that case, I seem to have drunk *some* of that Kool-Aid. And I don't think I'm the only one. I hope there's some "positive regression" in store for Martin, even this season. He can be a great fit as a weak-side platoon with all the LHH OFs we have on the roster.
  8. Icky loss. Post-deadline: 4-6 Overall: 60-63 Off day today, thankfully. It ain't over till it's over.
  9. I'm no Donaldson fan, but see where he's coming from, insofar as we don't have the energy that other markets have (St Louis, LA, NY, etc). That being said, I do not take his opinions seriously. He might be the last former player whose opinion I seek when it comes to the state of Twins/baseball fandom in Minnesota. His antics were silly and petty when he was here. Also -- maybe the 2019 and 2023 seasons would have changed his perception.
  10. Good to see Roden have a better day today. Post-deadline: 4-5 Overall: 60-62 It ain't over till it's over!
  11. Another tough one. Team has some fight, though. Not out of it yet. Post-deadline: 3-5 Overall: 59-62
  12. Another tough loss, but hey, we're fighting harder (and looking better) than we did at this point last season. Post-deadline: 2-4 Overall: 58-61 My armchair take: we need to go 5-4 during this homestead to stay in it. Not impossible, but still a tall task considering the opponents (which include the Phillies and Braves). Go Twins.
  13. Post deadline record: 0-2 Overall: 56-59 Good thing we're done facing the Royals after tomorrow.
  14. Then why not call up Culpepper and put Kreidler on the bench? Only thing you'd be missing is the LH platoon, but that doesn't seem very valuable considering the player batting LH. Baffling might be too strong a word, but I'd def say it's a head scratcher.
  15. Also, why not call up Culpepper and have Kreidler be your backup? Sure, you lose the LH platoon, but we should be past the point of caring about that, imo.
  16. Indeed. With all due respect -- why Gray is still on this roster is baffling to me.
  17. Gonna start commenting on each game story with our updated post-deadline record, just for fun. Post-deadline record: 0-1 Overall: 56-58 If we go 29-20 post-deadline, that puts us at 85-77, which could put us within reach of the playoffs. Lots of baseball left to be played. Go Twins.
