  1. Logically speaking you are right. Ownership is going to do nothing of the sort.
  2. Just as damning is the bullpen that they fielded in 26. Zero chance this is a pen that could win a division title.
  3. His contract for 2027 is an option year for the Twins from my understanding. They likey don’t use the option if he has surgery.
  4. When ownership is this big of a cluster@@@@ it’s pretty hard for front office to overcome. For all we know Falvey might have wanted to sign some legitimate bullpen help but was denied. The do nothing approach is going to make this season the most miserable possible.
  5. If Ryan needs TJ then his Twins career is over. It would be a shame if that is the case.
  6. Nothing is going to be easy for this Twins team. When you are counting on Topa to get the last three outs the percentages are rather low.
  7. Well after losing a half a billion dollars on the Twins the Pohlads need a break. I think they sell off further. There is no way they plan to put a winning team on the field in 26.
  8. The base running after the trade deadline was a message from Rocco that he was going to do things his way. I wonder what it would have been like if he was allowed to do things his way the whole 7 year tenure. Might have been quite a bit different.
  9. Well at least we now know there is some money available “when the time is right”. I know some think that the new minority owners are going to help bring some money in to get this right again. I personally believe that the new owners likely don’t give two flips about the team winning and are only interested in their return on investment. Consequently I see some post season trades being made that will get payrolls down much further still. I don’t think there is a plan by ownership to put even a competitive team on the field the next two seasons. I am sorry that is just what I see.
  10. The Pohlads claim they have now lost a half billion dollars on the twins. Hard to believe right and they still own the team. It’s really hard to trust people that lie to you.
  11. The sad part if the story is ownership thinks they are good at what they do.
  12. This franchise has never been farther from a parade than today. Ownership will have to change to direct the ship on a course for a championship. If that doesn’t happen I hate to tell you but more seasons like this last one are in the future. “Right sizing” the payroll will continue next season and beyond.
  13. It would take an extraordinary over pay for Ryan to sign an extension with the Twins.
  14. So much bigger problems than the manager. Since he was extended for next season might as well see it through it is not like the team is a contender for the division title.
  15. That’s a lot of what ifs. Likely something good will come from the young talent pool but reality says cost cutting continues. Sands hasn’t been right for last 10 days which makes me wonder if he isn’t pitching hurt. Lopez came out last night with forearm tightness, the Festa injury likely is career threatening and on and on we go. Really hard for me to see much light at end of the tunnel for the next season. 100 losses looks like a lock for next year.
