After a couple of rough starts Berrios finally found the magic and was the starting pitcher who finally stopped Tampa Bay's incredible win streak!

Yeah, obviously he isn't out of the water yet with just a win over Tampa Bay, but I was at the Angels game and he was looking good.  I mean his stuff looked nasty as always.  He pitched good for about 3 innings and then the wheels started to come off.  But the wheels came off slowly.  I mean there was an infield hit where no one covered 1st, so it should have been an easy out, there was also a comebacker that Berrios fielded, threw it high to Vladimir, it hit Vladdys glove but popped out.  I mean it was things like that, then Cimber comes in to relieve him and Trout take Cimber deep.  So it unraveled, but not all his fault.  I mean you can't give teams 5 outs and expect to pitch good.  But like I said, his velo was mid 90's, had his nasty off speed stuff working, idk, just not getting it done I guess.

I am putting this here as I do not call a Player a Twin unless he is in the majors so this applies to gents who were called up but went back to AAA.

Is it possible for a Minor League, AAA, player to spend near his entire career in the minors?

The gent who has the Minor League home run record, moved around some but spent most of his time with the same org.

Players do peak at AAA and never make the majors. No idea how many but it's more than a few.

Guessing you are talking about Joe Bauman.

Spencer Steer still has a hot bat playing 3rd for the Reds. 50 ABs and 16 hits. 4 2Bs, 2 HRs, 9 runs, 9 BBs with only 8 Ks, 6 RBI, 1 SB, .320 BA, .424 OBP, .520 SLG, .944 OPS. Still SSS, but not bad, eh? You don't want to look at Miranda's line so far.....

.320 .424 .520 .944

Brent Rooker is carving out a nice little full time role for himself in the cleanup spot in Oakland. Batting .324 with 4 homers in just 37 AB with only 7 strikeouts. He just pulled a hammy and will be out a couple days, but it reports say it's not serious.

LaMonte Wade Jr. is a fixture in the leadoff spot in San Fran. Off to a slower start but still has an OPS higher than Buxton's and is among the league leaders with 14 walks, which is nice to see from a leadoff guy.

Oakland A’s pitcher Trevor May (former Twins reliever) to the IL w/anxiety. A's GM David Forst:

I commend Trevor for speaking up about his mental health, and for taking action to address it. The whole A’s organization supports him fully and we are committed to giving Trevor whatever time he needs to be ready to return to playing, as well as continuing resources to help all our players tackle the physical and mental challenges they face daily

Derek Shelton's Pirates are 14-7 and temporarily in second place.

Tyler Wells comes within one strike of recording his first win (Baltimore closer blew the save). But the Orioles won and are temporarily in second place in the AL East.

Fun to see perennial lesser teams re-emerge, even if it's only for part of a season. Baltimore might have some staying power.

And today he signed a contract extension.

Rooker is now up to 6 homers, with 2 more yesterday!

Drew Maggi added to the Pirates. He is the guy who was a COVID replacement and didn’t get into a game with the Twins. I hope he gets a chance this time.

Yeah, that was sad that the Twins called Maggi up last year ... and he never even got into a single game. Hopefully, the Pirates will use him at least once, but right now that team is playing very well.

Waiting for Maggi to make his debut. He is replacing a guy on bereavement leave, so he doesn’t necessarily have much time in his stay.

Maggi is going to get in the game for Pittsburgh tonight. They're up 8-0 in the 8th and the bench coach just told him to get ready. Congratulations to a baseball lifer.
