  1. JADBP........you do understand that those "rankings" to which you refer are not the gospel, right?? No MLB team had a ranking list that matched the MLB.com draft team's list. MLB teams, including our Minesota Twins, spend thousands of hours scouting these players; watching them play the game, going about their daily preparations, interacting with teamates and coaches, learning of their reputation on and off the field, etc., etc. Of the twelve ballplayers on your graphic, which have you interacted with and seen play the most (games, innings, hours)?? Please share details.
  2. No mention of Brent Headrick, waivered by Twins 15 months ago? Think we could use some of what he has been doing since?? He has been oustanding in pinstripes: Brent Headrick Stats, Height, Weight, Position, Rookie Status & More | Baseball-Reference.com
  3. Seth mentioned the Chris Vallimont and Sergio Romo trade that sent Lewin Diaz to the Marlins. Remembered Diaz went to Asia to play and wondered how he's fared. Maybe it's been reported here and I missed it? 2025 Age 28 KBO Samsung 144 G, 551 AB, 173 H, 32 2B, 50 HR, 93 R, 158 RBI, .314/.381/.644/1.025 Not too shabby. (2026 .294/.367/.472/.839 thru 68 games to date)
  4. If really curious why not visit this page and find out?? Scroll down first set of hitting stats to his combined A+ numbers over two years (one with Twins org and another with Dodgers): Noah Miller Minor Leagues Statistics | Baseball-Reference.com
  5. Concur. And why does it have to be a position player?? Why not a pitcher for a couple days: is Laweryson ready yet...or Funderburk or Klein (multiple innings)?? I see Prielipp goes tonight,,,,,,,,,so if Gray on leave for his next start, I favor the latter to piggyback.
  6. Like Kyler Fedko's game/versatility and hope he continues to show development/improvement.......so what's the big rush to bring him to MLB?? If he impresses at StP in 2026, we add him to the 40 man in November, and he'll have options in his (peak?) age 27, 28 and 29 years + three more years of controllability after that. Or, as mentioned above, if the 2026 season falls apart, we create 40 man roster slots by trading players with an expiring deal and/or releasing players that do not figure in future plans.......and give the young guys a shot. I favor the former, but recognize the reality of the latter. Since none of us have a crystal ball, this must all play out.
  7. hello Seth......you'll wanna correct the date in headline of today's minor league report.  :-)  Brad

  8. T&R....I find myself agreeing with you nearly all the time, but on this one.........That's building a MLB baseball facility in Minneapolis without a retractable roof!!
  9. Just back from Fort Myers. Inappropriate to call Liam "cooked" (perhaps our definitions differ). Make no mistake, the motivation and determination remain. I fully expect presently non-40 man roster RPs Hendriks, Chafin and Altavilla to contribute at the big league level during 2026. Will it be with the Twins......time will tell. Hendriks and Chafin are Rule XX(B) guys, so if not added to the 26 man roster or the 40 man roster as injured by March 20, they must be granted their unconditional release or be paid a $100,000 retention bonus. Even if retained via the bonus payment, Rule XX(B) provides an opt out date of June 1 if not added to the 26 man roster or the 40 man roster as injured by May 28. If playing competitive baseball, would the Twins "spring" for the extra $100G for another two months' worth of time to decide (further evaluate at StP)? I can envision a scenario in which they could have trade value at the deadline. Appears that while Altavilla has the MLB service time to qualify, he was released by the White Sox prior to the end of the season (ERA at MLB and MiLB was below 2.50 at both levels, with 29 and 26 IP, respectively). Unless opt outs were negotiated as part of his minor league deal, the Twins will have the chance to monitor his performance at StP.
  10. It appears Falvey, Levine and Zoll have established a decent minor league pipeline, mostly on the P side. However, as PBO, Falvey has apparently operated at/created a nearly a half a billion-dollar deficit......so not even break-even while the Twins have had one (maybe two?) solid season in the past eight years. Falvey's MLB program was simply not successful and a money loser. My guess is a potential deal or two were in place to bring in a reliable RP/Closer (or bat?) and they were nixed by ownership. Falvey's credibility with agents is diminished and trade leverage reduced while the 2026 team is mired in mediocrity and losing $$. Seems one of these deals. FALVEY: "Well if that's how you feel about me and what I'm trying to do, then why am I here?". JPOHLAD: "You're here to do what you can pending our approval". FALVEY: "I can't work like that". JP: "OK then we'll find someone who can". That's a textbook mutually agreed upon parting.
  11. Sherry.......the second sentence in this report reads, "Does Ober have the discipline and health to be ready for 2026?" We all recognize that Bailey experienced physical health issues this past season, but is there reason to question his discipline? To what are you referring?
  12. PStL Mets with 33 Stolen Bases vs Mighty Mussels (Sept 2-6). Plenty to be done at the FtM complex/Academy.
