I'm bushed after last night, and i missed most of it. I started reading the game thread backwards, and only got so far.

 

As i am always looking for the "easy way out" i have decided to deny my entitlement as game thread intro writer to ask what you want to do.

Does Rocco have a dog? Did Gibson kick it? Because 17 innings or not, there's no excuse for putting that middle infield out there with a groundball pitcher.

Not their best line-up, but Rocco is probably thinking about the fact that he has a 10 game lead in the division and he wants to keep his middle infielders and his catcher healthy. This one game won't make or break the season and they still might win. Also, I tend to give a manager the benefit of the doubt on line-ups when he's 48 -24 and has the best record in baseball.

I know it was meant in good humor and full respect, but we try to stay away from nicknames that appear otherwise. Is this what Astudillo goes by? Hadn’t heard this specifically before ... but then I’m not always up on the latest, either.

YES THEY WERE! I remember a Poppin' Fresh / Baker's Square on 66th in Richfield, close to Southdale Mall. We used to go there for my birthday dinners as a kid. I loved the French Dip!
