jud6312 Verified Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 And I love Arraez RBI hits! Love the hitting, not sure how I feel about the shaking of the head at balls. It feels a little too Yasiel for my liking.
wavedog Verified Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Good patience by Sano on 2 close pitches and very nice at bat by Arraez - way to place the ball
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 I really think Arraez should never be sent down again. All he does is to get on base.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 I think Cave is example A of why you can't always trust that guys who succeed in AAA will succeed in with big league clubs
jud6312 Verified Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 I really think Arraez should never be sent down again. All he does is to get on base. The only question is if they would have enough ABs for his progression to continue when everyone's healthy.
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Cave seems way overmatched in the major league level.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Cave couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat!!!!!
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Do... Do most not look to see where the other team shifts them, Dick? He was fascinated Arraez does...
JNess21 Verified Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Am I crazy for thinking Arraez has the potential to one day win a batting title! Dude is in his first month in the big leagues and I'm not sure I've seen a bad at-bat yet. He walks up to the plate, sees where the defenders are, and then hits it where they aint. Absolute joy to watch.
jud6312 Verified Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Cave couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat!!!!! Is the boat docked or at sea?
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 The only question is if they would have enough ABs for his progression to continue when everyone's healthy.Sano can sit, Schoop can sit, Arraez should be a starter.
jud6312 Verified Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Sano can sit, Schoop can sit, Arraez should be a starter. Maybe pump the brakes a bit and let the guy get a few more ABs under his belt.
Darius Verified Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Sano can sit, Schoop can sit, Arraez should be a starter.Schoop, yes. Sano, no.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Is the boat docked or at sea?Lol!!! It's in the Bering Sea!!!!!!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Dick notes that Arraez' Terminator vision enables him to spot the weak points in the shift, and also predict casualties from batted balls...
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 I'd rather have Jake's brother Nick batting (his swear SCHWING - is nowhere near as loopy).
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 I think Cave is example A of why you can't always trust that guys who succeed in AAA will succeed in with big league clubsCave hit major league pitching well last year to the tune of (near) .800 OPS while playing in CF. No need to dish on a guy who has had few opportunities to get established this year.
Linus Verified Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 At the risk of being called a dinosaur I can’t for the life of me understand hitters taking pitches on the edge of the plate with two strikes. It happens all the time and it is nuts especially with two outs and guys on base Jake Cave.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Dick notes that Arraez' Terminator vision enables him to spot the weak points in the shift, and also predict casualties from batted balls... Dick: "This is unbelievable Jack!" Jack: "What's that Dick?" Dick: "Either my eyes are fooling me, or Mookie Betts is staring directly at the CF wall." Jack: "Nah, I think he's just waiting for the pitch to come." Dick: "NO, no... I swear he's looking directly at the CF wall. But there's no hole out there! I'm telling ya, it's straight up disrespect." Jack: "You remember who's playing out there? It's not Buxton." Dick: "It's not?" Jack: "It's not..." Dick: "Oh."
David HK Verified Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Well, the Twins were up when I went to that sucky, useless meeting-- And I come back, we're behind, and Mr. Nibbles somehow made it to the mound. Well, settle in, plenty o' game left.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 I think Tortuga took his demotion to Rochester to heart. Wow.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Gibson made it through the fourth! Though, to be honest, not like the Twins really had any other option.
