Game Thread: Twins vs Brewers, 5/28/19, 7:10 CT

[ashbury]

Eddie due?

You need to work with jinx-boy to help show him how it's done.

[PDX Twin]

Who would have expected to win this one with Smeltzer making the start? Wow! There is something special about this team!

[VATwinsFan]

Eddie due?

Apparently so.

[LVTwinsfan]

Too bad Smeltzer wasn’t allowed to pitch the 7th

[nicksaviking]

So when the Twins offer Smeltzer for Scherzer, what else will Washington have to give up?

[ScrapTheNickname]

Eddie due?

Eddie did!

[70charger]

This game has a playoff feel to it.

I think it'd be great if the Twins played the Brewers in the postseason. Yankees first, though.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Eddie due?

Good call, doc

But no, Eddie has been hitting, and he wasn’t actually “due”, so we cannot accept that answer

A real LOL! Love it!

[John Kelsey]

They'll go from this atmosphere to playing in front of 5,000 at the Trop.

Lawn mowed, listening to the game while fixing my dryer... it’s a good evening

What I love about this team is that it's got loads of heart. And at the heart of the heart, there is Eddie Rosario. These guys love the game of baseball. That's why they're so fun to watch. That's why I hope Devin Smeltzer sticks around. He loves the game, too.

Dozier

[John Kelsey]

Who gets the 9th?

[IndianaTwin]

It was surprising to me to see how few Twins players have gotten 200 hits.

Indeed, especially for a team that has seemingly always been known for better hitting than pitching.

Despite the broken dryer? Yeah, that’s a hell of a baseball game!

[DocBauer]

Box score won't show it, of course, but Smeltzer is the "winning" pitcher tonight for sure. In so many ways.

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Did we just get hits with runners in scoring position?

Isn't that cheating?

Rosario...extension?!

[70charger]

Don't let them back in the game, please.

having a broken dryer sucks. Fixing it is supremely satisfying. Listening to the Twins own the Brewers during... time for a cigarette ... after I check for gas leaks Edited May 29, 2019 by Sconnie

[pierre75275]

Buxton woulda had that

[Aggies7]

Can someone shut up the person who continues to do the blood curdling scream?

[DocBauer]

Crap! Duffey?

[notoriousgod71]

Brewers glad Rocco went to his bullpen,

[mickeymental]

buxton woulda had that.

um ... not so funny the second time.

Here comes that regression from the bullpen we've (or at least I) been waiting for!

[LaBombo]

MAX!!!!!!

I don’t know, that’s a low threshold. Even Steve Lombardozzi did it. It only took him four seasons too.

[IndianaTwin]

I've often thought it would be a good game within the game in dull game threads:

Obscure catcher names. Go. Tom Prince.

Yadier Molina's backup.
