ashbury Verified Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Eddie due?You need to work with jinx-boy to help show him how it's done.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Who would have expected to win this one with Smeltzer making the start? Wow! There is something special about this team!
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Too bad Smeltzer wasn’t allowed to pitch the 7th
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 So when the Twins offer Smeltzer for Scherzer, what else will Washington have to give up?
70charger Verified Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 This game has a playoff feel to it. I think it'd be great if the Twins played the Brewers in the postseason. Yankees first, though.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Eddie due?Good call, doc But no, Eddie has been hitting, and he wasn’t actually “due”, so we cannot accept that answer

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 What I love about this team is that it's got loads of heart. And at the heart of the heart, there is Eddie Rosario. These guys love the game of baseball. That's why they're so fun to watch. That's why I hope Devin Smeltzer sticks around. He loves the game, too.

IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 It was surprising to me to see how few Twins players have gotten 200 hits. Indeed, especially for a team that has seemingly always been known for better hitting than pitching.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Lawn mowed, listening to the game while fixing my dryer... it’s a good eveningDespite the broken dryer? Yeah, that’s a hell of a baseball game!
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Box score won't show it, of course, but Smeltzer is the "winning" pitcher tonight for sure. In so many ways.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Did we just get hits with runners in scoring position? Isn't that cheating?

70charger Verified Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Don't let them back in the game, please.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Despite the broken dryer? Yeah, that’s a hell of a baseball game! having a broken dryer sucks. Fixing it is supremely satisfying. Listening to the Twins own the Brewers during... time for a cigarette ... after I check for gas leaks

notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Brewers glad Rocco went to his bullpen,
mickeymental Verified Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 buxton woulda had that. um ... not so funny the second time.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Here comes that regression from the bullpen we've (or at least I) been waiting for!

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 It was surprising to me to see how few Twins players have gotten 200 hits.I don’t know, that’s a low threshold. Even Steve Lombardozzi did it. It only took him four seasons too.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 I've often thought it would be a good game within the game in dull game threads: Obscure catcher names. Go. Tom Prince. Yadier Molina's backup.
