Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 All he needs to do is throw shutout ball for nine innings. Unless the Twins happen to not score any runs either, then he may need to put on his big-boy pants and go a few more frames. Have you not read the news?! The Twins signed a new reliever for circumstances such as this. http://www.baseballbargains.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/Jugs-JR-Baseball-Softball-Pitching-Machine.jpg

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Holy bleep... I thought this was a typo on B-Ref. Mike Fiers has given up 18 (!!) HRs already in 46.2 IP.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 I'll check the score but won't watch the game. Haven't recovered from having my chicken dinnuh swiped away so cruelly two games in a row.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Great intro! So Astro Turf is a generic, just like Kleenex and Ski-doo. I never thought of that one before. Ok everyone, name a generic brand.Band-Aid. As in the adhesive bandage. Not the Bob Geldof formed charity group.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Band-Aid is a good one... Also, Elmer's Glue.

If he gets 30 odd starts, Bert's record could be in jeopardy. Anyone got the over/under as to how many times that is mentioned during the broadcast tonight?

stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Today's and tomorrow's games are about character and grinding IMHO. Molitor credited the team earlier, but this is by far their toughest test after two gut-wrenching defeats.

diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Sano scratched due to illness That's what the view of the last two games from the dugout will do.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Sano scratched due to illness But good to see Buxton in after the incident yesterday. I hope he can throw.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 But good to see Buxton in after the incident yesterday. I hope he can throw. This actually annoys me even more. His coming out of the game basically cost us the game (in addition to the bullpen) as there were two plays that could/should have been made after he came out.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 that one is amazing to me. "what kind of coke do you want?" took me a few times to get used to back in the day.Shoot, that's easy to answer: None, thank you.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Sano scratched due to illnessProbably had trouble digesting the loss yesterday.

notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 In case you were wondering, the definition of "ordinary effort" has now been updated to: "See base hit".
