It's a beautiful day out in Minneapolis and an even better day to beat the White Sox! It's my first time starting a Twins Daily game thread so I'm hoping it leads to the first W of the year.. Go Twins!

Escobar and Mauer are the hot hands at the plate yet Escobar is batting sixth.

Watch, the Twins will bat around the 1st inning now that I've said that.

Great to see Kepler in the starting lineup, but not sure Rodon is the best pitcher for him to effectively substitute for Park.

Yeah I'm glad Kepler is starting as well, but interesting that its for Park, and not Rosario with the lefty on the mound.

Good job! I think right now, less is more :)

And depending on how the game goes, we might want you to do 90 more of these

I didn't think Kepler would get his shot until tomorrow against Mat Latos.

That's a great fielding outfield, and maybe that's a little bit more important with Phil Hughes pitching.

Good point with Hughes on the mound, and like I said I'm glad Kepler is playing.  I just wonder if this means Park is further in the "doghouse" than we realize.

Lots of registered trademarks in the lineups. I had no clue so many guys trademarked their names.

I thoroughly enjoy that this joke appears in basically every single game thread.  Thank you for keeping te streak going.

Just kidding.  I just wanted an excuse to post that picture.

Rodon was 0-1 with a 2.00 ERA vs. Twins last year (his rookie year). Although he only allowed two runs in 9 innings (one start, one relief app) he allowed 11 hits and 4 walks.

Hughes is 5-5, with a 2.88 ERA in his career vs. the White Sox, in 18 appearances (14 starts). Last year Hughes was 1-1 vs. the Sox, in three starts, with a 2.57 ERA, allowing 6 runs in 21 innings.

In case anyone is interested.

I'll be at the game tonight, and not chatting it up on the game thread tonight.  I'm hoping I bring a little luck to the hometown nine tonight.

Dude, we're just, like, doing that thing when you're arm wrestling and you look like you're going to lose, then you get all bug-eyed and the other guy goes "oh no (gulp)," and you come back and slam his hand on table because made the mistake of awaking the sleeping giant.

this is the line up that i would like to see... going forward.

Park can come off the bench or spend some time at AAA

I feel much better about Sano not in the outfield.
