I feel we've been bamboozled with the hopes that these prospects would be a gold mine for us. Feel like I'm in a certain fictional cartoon town when a fast talking businessman showed up.

I used to check the minor league box Scores for Sano, Meyer, and Buxton every night (Rosario I guess because he was usually on Sano's team). Seeing them all struggle totally kills doing the same for Jay, Berrios, Gordon, etc. I don't bother

So, we've learned that no team that started out 0-7 has ever reached the postseason.

Good thing we're no longer 0-7.  I wonder if any team that started out 0-8 has ever made the postseason.

So glad I watched that entire game, I could've done some work or laundry or something productive.

Game threads keep it interesting at least.

Goodnight and Good luck Van

The Mighty Whiteies continue to show top-notch pitching!  Where did that come from--Jewel-Osco??

Streak Analyzer, text file and a spread sheet. Takes about 10 minutes. I'll let you know tomorrow.

At this point, I'm more invested in Vanimal's romantic life than in the Twins.

I've had slightly less luck in the romance department than the twins have had on the field this year. Apparently, watching baseball every night is a big turn off for most 20something year old women. Go figure.

And if not, I say man up and press on toward 0-9 and beyond.   Eventually we're bound to break through the barrier to a historical precedent for a playoff appearance.

Hey, MLB has a matchmaker site. What could possibly go wrong? Other than perhaps getting involved with a, shudders, Sox fan.

Watching baseball is turning into a big turn off for most of us, it would seem.

How long were you dating Ms. Bobbitt before it all went terribly wrong?

How did the '03 Tigers start the year?  They ended up with 43 wins.

Last year, we really didn't have expectations and were pleasantly surprised.

This year, we have expectations and have been unpleasantly surprised.

However, at this rate, we're going to lower our expectations below the expectations of last year.

My expectation was 78 wins

My expectation was 78 wins

I was expecting some regression to around 78 games. However, at the rate the Twins are going, that may be an optimistic win total. (if you look at Streak Analyzer, the numbers are brutal for teams that start 0-6. I'm going to check 0-8 tomorrow)

The only thing I dislike more than losing is losing to the White Sox.

I concur.  You can put it on the board.  Yes.

I like where you're going with this.

I don't think I heard any booing from the crowd after that abysmal lack of a sacrifice or a clutch hit. I guess it's fine to play like this for Minnesota fans?

I was at the game, and there was booing. It was a fairly sparse crowd to begin with, though, with many folks tied up in line for dollar hot dogs.

Hmmm...stand in line? Or watch this $4!)-show?

Easy call.

Well, my beer league hockey team won our league tonight, so its not all bad on my end.

Until tomorrow morning anyway...

You still have ice "up dere"? :)

For dollar hot dogs I'll normally stand in line voluntarily, you don't have to tie me up. :)
