tobi0040 Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I feel we've been bamboozled with the hopes that these prospects would be a gold mine for us. Feel like I'm in a certain fictional cartoon town when a fast talking businessman showed up.I used to check the minor league box Scores for Sano, Meyer, and Buxton every night (Rosario I guess because he was usually on Sano's team). Seeing them all struggle totally kills doing the same for Jay, Berrios, Gordon, etc. I don't bother
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 So, we've learned that no team that started out 0-7 has ever reached the postseason. Good thing we're no longer 0-7. I wonder if any team that started out 0-8 has ever made the postseason.
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 So glad I watched that entire game, I could've done some work or laundry or something productive. Game threads keep it interesting at least. Goodnight and Good luck Van
Kwak Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 The Mighty Whiteies continue to show top-notch pitching! Where did that come from--Jewel-Osco??
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Tim Laudner is still under the delusion this offense is a strong offense.

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 At this point, I'm more invested in Vanimal's romantic life than in the Twins.
tobi0040 Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Why? What is the benefit of releasing him? Zero. Who are you going to bring up? It makes no sense. He deserves it though
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 At this point, I'm more invested in Vanimal's romantic life than in the Twins.I've had slightly less luck in the romance department than the twins have had on the field this year. Apparently, watching baseball every night is a big turn off for most 20something year old women. Go figure.

Eventually we're bound to break through the barrier to a historical precedent for a playoff appearance.

Other than perhaps getting involved with a, shudders, Sox fan.

Blake Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Watching baseball is turning into a big turn off for most of us, it would seem.Last year, we really didn't have expectations and were pleasantly surprised. This year, we have expectations and have been unpleasantly surprised. However, at this rate, we're going to lower our expectations below the expectations of last year.

formerly33 Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Is it too early to hope for 0-22?
Blake Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 My expectation was 78 winsI was expecting some regression to around 78 games. However, at the rate the Twins are going, that may be an optimistic win total. (if you look at Streak Analyzer, the numbers are brutal for teams that start 0-6. I'm going to check 0-8 tomorrow)

Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I don't think I heard any booing from the crowd after that abysmal lack of a sacrifice or a clutch hit. I guess it's fine to play like this for Minnesota fans?I was at the game, and there was booing. It was a fairly sparse crowd to begin with, though, with many folks tied up in line for dollar hot dogs.
