Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Thank goodness for this thread...... Kepler! Sighted! thanks for doing this.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Escobar and Mauer are the hot hands at the plate yet Escobar is batting sixth. Watch, the Twins will bat around the 1st inning now that I've said that.
nytwinsfan Provisional Member Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Great to see Kepler in the starting lineup, but not sure Rodon is the best pitcher for him to effectively substitute for Park.

Yeah I'm glad Kepler is starting as well, but interesting that its for Park, and not Rosario with the lefty on the mound.

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Park getting the day off. Exactly what I would have done. It's too early to demote but a day off sure can't hurt.
bluechipper Provisional Member Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Yeah I'm glad Kepler is starting as well, but interesting that its for Park, and not Rosario with the lefty on the mound. I didn't think Kepler would get his shot until tomorrow against Mat Latos. That's a great fielding outfield, and maybe that's a little bit more important with Phil Hughes pitching.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Sano gets to DH--I'm calling he starts to break out of his slump. 2-4 with a double, a homer, a walk, and 4 RBI.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Ooh, it's good to see Kepler in the lineup. My only complaint is that Escobar isn't batting next to Mauer...

I just wonder if this means Park is further in the "doghouse" than we realize.

Willihammer Provisional Member Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Maybe Molitor just wants the OF d- with Hughes on the mound.

Lee-The-Twins-Fan Provisional Member Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Rodon was 0-1 with a 2.00 ERA vs. Twins last year (his rookie year). Although he only allowed two runs in 9 innings (one start, one relief app) he allowed 11 hits and 4 walks. Hughes is 5-5, with a 2.88 ERA in his career vs. the White Sox, in 18 appearances (14 starts). Last year Hughes was 1-1 vs. the Sox, in three starts, with a 2.57 ERA, allowing 6 runs in 21 innings. In case anyone is interested.

Homer Hanky Verified Member Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 this is the line up that i would like to see... going forward. Park can come off the bench or spend some time at AAA I feel much better about Sano not in the outfield.
