According to my schedule this Friday is also an off date. Not buying that one either. Gamers play. If Buxton and Correa can't play out a 9-0 game they contributed to then it's time for them to move on.

I doubt they asked to leave the game. I mean Buxton made a great attempt to rob MAT of his HR just before he was removed so he was still giving 100%. He put his body on the line when he crashed into the wall which, given his injury history, deserves respect. It's on Baldelli, no one else IMO.

Fire Rocco!
Trade Buxton!
Trade Correa!
Trade Wallner!
Trade Ober!
Trade Lopez!
Release Paddack!
Release France!
Release Vazquez!
Burn Down Target Field!
Move the team to Montreal!
Sell the te.... wait a minute... that one doesn't fit.

While I'm no fan of Montreal, they did nothing to deserve this team.

The Mets lost their first 5 games in 2024.

They went 12 - 3 in their next 15.

The Astros lost their first 4 games in 2024. Went on to 7-15 over the next 22 games.

Both teams made the playoffs.

I was sleeping in roller coaster design school but some rollercoasters start with a drop. There is plenty of roller coaster to come.

With that said. Jeez, they could not have come out of Ft. Myers worse!!!

.436 Team OPS thus far. Lowest in all of MLB.

This is the result of facing the following starters. Gray, Fedde, Pallante and Perez.

Also

7.31 Team ERA thus far (only the Brewers are worse after their opening against the Yankees).

No hitting + no pitching = a losing streak.

I hope this doesn't last too long.

Good post. Mets came to mind for me. I didn't realize the Astros got off to such a slow start. One would like to think that the starting pitching will be a legitimate strength but they'll need to start winning some games where the offense can only scratch 2-3 runs.

Nothing will change until the regime is replaced. Otherwise Falvey will just replace Rocco with a similar manager.

Completely agree.  I give Falvey credit for assembling a decent pitching staff, but after seven years of this regime we've got a weak hitting lineup that can't play defense.

On the bright-side the Twins got a runner all the way over to second base today!

Another high note is we've finally hit rock bottom...wait I said that yesterday.

Yes, it is possible for a Twins fan to overpay for T-Mobile's free MLB subscription....

Guilty!

Everyone seems upset that Buxton was pulled and Keirsey was put in the game. I've been hearing from people all offseason that Dashawn Keirsey would be star if they just gave him a chance. This was a chance.

This year the Braves picked by many to win a difficult NL East are 0-5.

I don't want to hear any criticizing of the pitching until our offense starts scoring some runs.

Worst team in baseball so far. Is it early? Yes. But we can't deny what we see just because it's early. We'd all agree that we'd much rather have the Twins be the best team in baseball after 4 games, so let's not try and talk our way into thinking it's no big deal.

This team has been horrendous since August of 2024, we're looking at 9 months now since we've seen any positive signs from this team.

This is carry over from last year and they look like they aren't interested in playing baseball. The games are one sided with them on the wrong side. It is hard to watch a listless team when they are losing by multiple runs after 1 inning. This needs to be addressed now not later or the season is in trouble. I know it is easy to put this on Rocco, but that is were it belongs.

Twins did virtually nothing to improve so it's no surprise they look like the exact same team that mailed it in last September. It's only 4 games..but is it really?

The 1991 Twins started 2-9.  Concern?  Yes.  Panic?  Not yet

Rocco...the Les Steckel of Minnesota Professional Baseball?

Difference: Les had a beautiful wife named Tess...

Is Rocco's wife named Taco?

I realize this comment will get smashed right now, but Rocco isn't responsible for the performances of Lopez, Wallner, Correa, Buxton, France.

Starting Paddack was not really his call either (more FO).  He didn't look good, but they needed innings from him today, so he was going to throw 80 pitches good or bad.

The only thing I feel Rocco blew was keeping Ober in so long yesterday.  He was sick, should never have gotten out of the 2nd inning. Pulling Correa/Buxton today was also wrong.

I will disagree on the Correa/Buxton issue.  A cold day with two key oft injured players in a game that was out of control early.     Sometimes you need to wave the white flag.

I've watched 3% of this pathetic team games so far....basically one inning.

Normally watch 50+% of the games.

Seems like it's a trend for many here.

I wonder if they will even draw 30k for the home opener vs Houston.

One pathetic performance followed by another. Tell me, what message do you send your players when you pull the 2 superstars in the lineup after 3 innings? I know everyone here who drinks the kool-aid is going to say it was done so they didn't get hurt in a blowout but....... The White Sox can score 9 runs in the first 3 innings but I don't think we can score 9 in the last 6 innings. That shows no confidence in your players. Neither Correa nor Buck have done anything hit-wise to this point. Wouldn't the extra at bats help? Or will they get out of their funk by sitting on the bench? Please fire Rocco ASAP.

The TEAM plays for the next 15 straight days.

He turned it into a day off for two veterans so they’d be available in games 3-7 days from now with a better chance to win. They play 27 games a month for 6 months - it’s silly to try and hang on to a game down 9-0 so fans don’t get pissed off.

No they don’t, they’re off Friday. Why do you keep repeating this falsehood?

1969 Twins started 0-4, then won their next 7 games...going on to win the division pennant.

That team had Killebrew,  Oliva, Carew, Tovar. Perry, Boswell,  Kaat at the top of the rotation.

Also had Billy Martin at the helm.

2025 Twins are closer to the 1988 Baltimore Orioles...who started the season 0-21

2024 Twins finish 12-27...if that pace continues.

2025 team will finish 50-112.

What's more probable?

The collapse continues or they rebound and go 92-70?

A depressing performance against an historically (literally!) awful team.

Wondering when last the Pale Hos last won a 9+ run shutout, but any answer will only leave me feeling worse...

#FireRoccHead

Wasn't a shutout but didn't they beat the Halos by nine just the other day?

What's weird to me about Rocco is that when he played, he was the ultimate effort guy and was known for his hustle and energy. He's the exact opposite as a manger and doesn't hold his players to anywhere near that standard.

More successful managers than Rocco have hit a wall with their team and needed to move on. The Twins are at that point and probably reached it last September.

Both of those squads had multiple months where they played at a 100+ win pace. I'm pretty sure the Twins had at least one decent streak last year, but their best month was May, and they finished 4 games over .500 during that period. The 2025 Twins are largely the same squad.

There is a lot of track left, and I know that you know this, but there are also plenty of drops baked in along the way, and it's the last part that gets overlooked too often during these discussions.
