  1. I need to have some of what you are drinking..................Now would be the time though. An emerging rotation with a veteran catcher. However, this also means extending Ryan and Lopez.
  2. Losing Jeffers next year will hurt, bad. The extension window may have been missed, and with Boras as an agent it is even worse.............
  3. Depth is being challenged - SP injury squad of Pablo, Able, Taj, and the near-miss Ryan could use some depth at STP. Plus could be a swing man out of the BP. Better option than some others we have signed, that is just my thoughts
  4. It might be time to salvage the Sheriff off the waiver wire for some depth
  5. I am admittedly confused on that move - he deserves to stay over others in the BP
  6. I tend to disagree. Are the Twins a good or great team at this time. No. THe division they play in that was one of the best in baseball a year or two ago is now the worst in the MLB. The name of the game is to make it to postseason, and even with this subpar team they can do that so until it is out of reach they need to strive of it. Anything can happen once you get to October. The 87 Twins were nothing more than an average team that got hot and took home a title. It was a great time and they built on that to become a better team in the following years and didn't win again until 91.
  7. Jenkins is hurt, Culpepper is not close to being ready. Erod is the closest, but as the Four Seasons sang "See You in September"
  8. I do as well but have my doubts. I would demote him and see how he handles it. Twins will most likely then take him to arbitration and will win.
  9. we shouldn't see both Houston and Culpepper - one will be moved at some point
  10. Might do some damage to his ego, which may not be a bad thing..........
  11. You can never have enough pitching, and then if the youngsters perform throughout you have assets to keep the farm system replenished. Your retunn on trading Pablo was already a bit lower than it should be based on his contract and now has bottomed out. Selling low is never a good idea.
  12. yes and they may need so sign arms for depth. I would still like to see Koepech signed, if nothing more then to possibly be an asset to flip at the deadline.
  13. Tigers ace Skubal is having elbow surgery. After the record Arbitration, he may be looking at a smaller FA contract in the off season, or the Tigers lost a potential trade piece as well. Just pointing out that for a pitcher in today's baseball it is more a matter of when you will have surgery, not if.
  14. If we are out of the race, which we should be, then maybe getting something in return with the conversation around - we want to extend, but if you intend to explore FA then we will trade you to a contender so you can have a shot at a title and try and convince you to come back.
  15. yes - but most likely too late on Jeffers............
  16. Wallner to the minors is the easiest way for Emma to be promoted - but as stated, the need to get Martin in the lineup is still there. For all of the angst against Larnach, I think he is proving his value
  17. Outman isn't going anywhere. He plays his role of PR and steals bases. Anyone else brought up would need to play more and then the 2-3 start a week they would get. Plus, Martin needs to play more.
  18. meaning Lee would be a utility with Gray and Martin would be the OF for Outman. Not a 1:1 change, just different roster construction.
  19. I understand your point - but I still think it was a bad deal. He is hitting almost .280 and playing SS for Houston. Would have made Lee a utility player and maybe no Outman on the roster.
  20. The BP not being good was a pretty much known thing once it was blown up last year. I was thinking back on all of the trades. and how I feel about them now: 1. Jax trade - do it again; yes 2. Castro, Columbe - yes do them again as they were not resigning 3. Duran - I hated this one at the time and do miss him at the end of games. However Abel and Tait have promise and I think I would do this one again. 4. Varland - bad, bad, bad. Him back now and I think we have a couple of more wins. 5. Correa trade - got rid of money: but how would we look with him having his 2026 year and playing SS for us. Maybe another win or two. The money dump didn't bring back anyone so we could have kept him. So 4/5 not done and we may be at .500.
  21. Stats are correct on Morris, and put in as a solid BP arm. I think the extra inning yesterday was too save an arm - and was a good call from Shelton
