    I would attempt to trade Wallner over Larnach

    A pennant within the next 5 years. Some trades look better now then they did at the time. If they could take back the Varland trade, we would have a closer to upgrade the pen without taking anything away from the current roster.

    Make the big move and extend Jeffers now...........his price tag just keeps going up and his value to this team is huge.

    Festa dn Matthews are likely to join mid-summer - the others are long team injury replacements as Roden will be called up before any of the outfielders. The rest will most likely get a cup of coffee as season end, or at the trade deadline if a sell becomes a reality.

    with the 15 days now in the past, teams can start to shuffle. We will start seeing the BP Shuffle Train from St. Paul to Target start moving if we burn through arms. Others may happen as well.

    right now Martin is the platoon. Outman fits as he can PR or be a defensive replacement and play limited time. I agree that Roden is the better player - but would need a larger role then Outman plays currently.

    I umped high school, amatuer and JUCO ball for years. I felt I had a good feel for the strike zone. Those pitches on the corners or fringes when the catcher brought their glove 'back into the zone" I felt was them at times telling me they know it is just out and trying to sell me. I told them to catch it and let me look at it instead of moving it and telling me you think it may be a ball.

    and they should. I like the current duo of Caratini/Jeffers - and we need time for development of the Cs in the minors.

    He will have some clunkers along the way - Skubal and Valdez we witnessed this week - let's just hope he has more outings like his first few then those and it will be a great thing.

    Festa is a BP arm for sure, and even more so now with the extended time out, Zebbys future is questionable and no clue on Morris -

    Roden needs to play everyday, so in the minors. Can't bring him up and sit him. Same with GG. Culpepper needs to stay down as well - for now. Reality is that we need his service time and time to let Lee prove it or lose it. I like Larnach and think that he might be our best hitter in the OF after Buxton. Martin as the 4th. Outman is the one I held out hopes for, but might never reach that rookie level he showed.

    I prefer Abel to get the first chance with Zebby working on location at AAA

    And that is the perfect reason to sign Pablo to an extension and to see if Ryan will agree to one............if we build a staff, that is 67% of moving to a winner

    Abel may just push his way into the rotation - that would be a positive if he earns it and it is just not given. This is fluid, but right now it just might be Ryan, Ober, Abel, Zebby, SWR??? I do think they will go with Bradley purely based on experience. We have about a month to know for sure.

    I hope nothing more. I think he is needed this year. I would prefer sending Outman for a lottery ticket, and then having Larnach and Roden both at Target Field.

    I know I am in the minority in that I like Larnach. I think he will put up more total bases than Wallner will. I think it is a great point about service time, and maybe playing the long game now with the unknown of a work stoppage and the length of it.

    Ryan, Ober, SWR, Bradly and a FA signing will be the opening 5 unless someone WOWS in ST. Expect Abel and Matthews to be in St. Paul rotation to start with.
