  1. I would not count out Vazquez from returning. Won't get much interest in FA and I think would be a solid backup, just have to cut down on his playing time.
  2. IF, and that is a big IF, we can pry one of those catchers away - then yes deal them. I would prefer to keep them and deal Erod
  3. to be fair he was a defensive replacement earlier so was not sent up to PH
  4. I am just feeling he is over rated and is a prospect, and no more so would love to sell high on him now - I could be way wrong and I hope I am
  5. I am ok with keeping or trading him........I would rather keep Larnach and trade Wallner, as Larnach does more then just hit bombs. Neither is great defensively, but Larnach shows some hustle and spirit. I was on the train of hoping Royce got smoking hot and we trade him. Still could happen, but selling low is where we are at now and not a good thing. I am not a Gonzales fan - so he can be part of a package elsewhere.
  6. I agree with this ONLY if they keep Ryan and Lopez
  7. I think each player is a unique situation. I don't see any issue with this at times.
  8. wins are not the stat they once were, however what if Joe stays hot and gets to say 16-5 with a sub 2.9 ERA. Does he get serious attention for Cy Young?
  9. He would yes, but would be better locked up to a 5 year deal and build around
  10. Nope - now you give Lopez and Ryan extensions to build back some trust and build around a pretty solid SP staff, Larnach should stay. Wallner could be used to trade in the offseason. Jeffers is someone to extend as well - we have teenagers coming. Biggest thing that must happen is the POHLADS NEED TO GO
  11. I have been a die hard MN Twins fan from the mid 70's and yesterday was crushing. I did understand some of the moves, and could even get behind the Correa one a little bit. Duran hurt - however the BP we still had was going to be good and we sold high. Bader, Castro, Coulombe all made sense and at the time was hoping maybe we could bring them back in the off season. Stewart I was on the fence on. He was lights out, but injury history and age were against him. I, unlike others, do like Outman and think he could be an above average OF for us. Just wish he hit RH. Jax made little sense, and the Varland trade was the back breaker...........................WTF. I will not be attending any more games this year, and will find it hard to follow them as my heart has been ripped out. If I were Buxton I would have called and demanded TRADE ME TOO!!!!!!
  12. Miller has twice the amount of team control - should bring back more
  13. I loved Duran, but I think his numbers are better then he actually is. How many 9th innings did he put himself in trouble and get out of it? Now, he did get out of many that is true - I wonder if he is only a year or two away from losing dominance? McGill and Pagan have more saves then Duran. Duran is 6-5, so six wins are most likely BS, and then 5 other losses. If he converts have of those he still doesn't pass Pagan
  14. I agree. We get a middle of the rotation arm, an organizational need in a young catcher. Short term good for the Phillies, but long term I like this for the Twins. Now just keep Jax/Varland/Stewart and you can build the pen back up.
  15. With Randy gone - it will allow a promotion of a prospect from AA
  16. Ridding ourselves of Dobnak, does open a spot for a younger prospect. I hear many of you on here priortizing that
  17. Disagree. Paddack brought a lottery ticket C. I am sure 90% on here all year wanted him off the team. Now they can bid for him back
  18. I would say YES, they are better with Correa at SS in 2026. He is a thinking man shortstop. No, the bat hasn't been what we had hoped for. Culpepper - wow, that is a reach!! I just don't think the return would be high enough.
  19. Could be an off-season signing????? If the price is right, might be a good back end option as we don't seem to have many in our system that are better.
  20. No way in hell to Ryan.....................Jax/Duran - I say deal Jax, but not both. Coloumbe can go as he is year to year. Ride this out with Castro/Bader - unless you can get May from the Dodgers for Bader. I would then prefer to add pieces in the offseason as ERod would be the bait, along with Brooks Lee and Wallner.
