  1. Not a good idea. A strong bullpen is key in the league today. Royals won a WS with a shutdown pen years ago............starters don't go over 6 today so keeping this group in-tact is crucial.
  2. And what would you be willing to give up for a rental like him?
  3. agreed, not alone - the price is high for him. Lewis or Lee would be the major league talent sent, but the sure volume of prospects on this one isn't a price to pay right now.
  4. Miranda is a lost cause in my opinion. I would love Duran, but what are you going to give up to get him? I wouldn't give up any young arm, so then you are looking at a young position player............if they would take Lee or Lewis for him I think it is an upgrade.
  5. Maybe we targe another SP? Keep the depth at St. Paul. Not sure who we can offer though as Miranda, Julien and Martin would be throw ins.
  6. Disagree - Both Festa and SWR would be a regression from Paddack
  7. Face value this makes sense. I just don't feel he will bring an impact bat back and we need him in the 4th spot in the rotation as I am not comfortable with Zebby/Festa/SWR filling 2/5 of the rotation at this time.
  8. Kimbrel is in the Braves minor leagues and if anyone selects him to a MLB roster he can go. I know he has had his issues, but he could replace Alcala now
  9. I think we need to pump the breaks on Keaschel. As good as he was when he was here, it was a very SSS and thinking he will save the offense is a stretch. I would be happy to be wrong. Paddack has been solid and selling him gets us not much in return right now. The trio of Zebby/Festa/SWR is insurance - but I want a trade of one of them to happen for a bat if that is what the deadline brings
  10. someone is coming, as McCluster was sent to St. Paul already. Hoping both Buxton and Wallner are coming - and that will require another move.................Bride DFA
  11. Day off tomorrow and Wallner will meet us on the West coast for Friday's series start. McCusker takes a flight back to St. Paul after the game today
  12. Wallner is back next, followed by Buxton. This should send McCusker and Keirsey back to St. Paul. Bride won't stay in place of Lee or Lewis. I do think he goes when Keaschall comes back, however these roster decisions seem to work themselves out as we may have a DL candidate at some point. Clemens is able to play multiple positions and has played like a team offensive MVP since he arrived. Bride might make it through waivers
  13. I don't see a trade at the deadline. If they are in the race, they will want his arm. Only way I can see it is if it adds to our offense and not sure Paddack will bring back the punch we need. Now if we package Paddak and some prospects for an impact bat that would be good, but then it would make us buyers and not sellers.
  14. Fitz, McCusker and I am thinking maybe Kiersey. Clemens and Bride have some defensive flexibility with the OF of Buxton, Bader, Larnach and Wallner with Castro and Clemens as options. Bride is a better hitter than Kiersey
