  1. I am 100% behind trading him - brings back the most value
  2. This will be unpopular opinion, but I would like to see: Resign Santana and sign Castro Keep Zebby in the minors for a full year, Festa??? Sign a 4th starter so SRW can slot at #5 Trade Brooks Lee, Austin Martin, and maybe other prospects for a RH outfielder Quit platooning Larnach and Wallner so much and let them play everyday. Miranda at 1B and 3B, but if others like his potential - send him packing. None of this matters if Lewis, Buxton and Correa don't play in the same lineup for over 80 games.
  3. Hoping we sign Santana, keep Julien and Martin in the minors and possibly trade Lee for a SP
  4. do you play the FO or Rocco? OR both. Spreadsheet managing cost this team a shot at the postseason this year. Stop the platooning and Pinch hitting and let the players play..........I was a Rocco fan, but I am past that now
  5. An example of not trading prospects when you can - they are what they are, prospects and getting proven talent is a key way to use them
  6. Yep - realized that after the fact................Can't afford short starts from Pablo or Bailey as only 1 day off left.
  7. the St, Paul shuttle may be busy with the backend of the rotation relying on them
  8. He's a rookie and not ready yet, but here because of injury
  9. His quick hook last night saved the day. Zebby is overmatched right now.
  10. Kiersey will be sent down, as Margot is back
  11. I would go with Sands once through over Varland - as Varland looks to be a one inning pitcher. 7th Varland, 8th and 9th Jax/Duran
  12. Hoping Santana comes back. If Julien is still in the organization, maybe he puts on a 1B mit. Castro is better as the swiss Army knife and Martin, although I am not a huge fan, seems to inject something in the lineup and can play the Margot role as well as inf backup. I prefer Royce in the infield 2b or 3b. Lee can provide relief at 3b, ss, and 2b. Todays baseball has players moving all around.
  13. We should have parted with him at the deadline, but would have been a sell low.
  14. hoping he plays himself back to a Major League player then either him or Lee can be used to get some pitching in the offseason
  15. I think it is a good idea for depth. This can push Varland to the BP and allow us to compensate for short starts from Festa and Zebby.
  16. I thought they would sign Rich Hill over the weekend and put him in the rotation
  17. Dobnak threw 3 innings yesterday, I think he goes as we will need the arm in the pen.
  18. Both teams got what they were looking for. Twins dumped a salary an opened up 2nd for Julien. Mariners got a 2nd baseman they wanted. It hasn't worked out for either side, but I bet they would both do it again.
  19. Martin may end up on the DL. But I would rather have Farmer/Correa then Lee/Martin. They both will be in St. Paul soon. Lee will be better his second time up, i.e. Jackson Holliday
  20. I would like to see them lock up Castro, and then use the Keaschall/Eeales of the world in trades. Prospects sometimes have more value this way, and we have plenty.
