    I loved Duran, but I think his numbers are better then he actually is. How many 9th innings did he put himself in trouble and get out of it? Now, he did get out of many that is true - I wonder if he is only a year or two away from losing dominance? McGill and Pagan have more saves then Duran. Duran is 6-5, so six wins are most likely BS, and then 5 other losses. If he converts have of those he still doesn't pass Pagan

    I agree. We get a middle of the rotation arm, an organizational need in a young catcher. Short term good for the Phillies, but long term I like this for the Twins. Now just keep Jax/Varland/Stewart and you can build the pen back up.

    Disagree. Paddack brought a lottery ticket C. I am sure 90% on here all year wanted him off the team. Now they can bid for him back

    I would say YES, they are better with Correa at SS in 2026. He is a thinking man shortstop. No, the bat hasn't been what we had hoped for. Culpepper - wow, that is a reach!! I just don't think the return would be high enough.

    Could be an off-season signing????? If the price is right, might be a good back end option as we don't seem to have many in our system that are better.

    No way in hell to Ryan.....................Jax/Duran - I say deal Jax, but not both. Coloumbe can go as he is year to year. Ride this out with Castro/Bader - unless you can get May from the Dodgers for Bader. I would then prefer to add pieces in the offseason as ERod would be the bait, along with Brooks Lee and Wallner.

    Although I do think Varland has a closer in him - this is so accurate. For those of us that remember a fantastic bullpen arm that was used to set up the great Goose Gossage. Twins traded for him and made him our closer. BOOM!, fail. Mr. Ron Davis

    I will contend the trade for Tyler Mahle was a good decision that just didn't work out. CES and Steer would not be an upgrade over anything we currently have. Gibson-Long for Fullmer was also worth the risk.

    I could not agree more...........our pitching is solid for another year with Lopez, Ryan, Ober, Zebby, SWR with some backend depth in the minors (I did not include Festa here as I am advocating that he and ERod are used in the offseason to acquire a bat or future C). Correa and Buxton are the not going anywhere, so that means we need Lewis, Larnach/Wallner (whichever one is still with us next year), Lee, Jeffers to be offensive threats. I would love to have both Castro and Bader back, but not sure if the FO will do that.

    As much as I don't want to part with Duran, that is a deal I can get behind - and yes Vasquez can go back as their new backup - maybe even his full salary. Varland has the look of a potential closer.

    I would take a different approach. Keep Buxton and build around him. I would also keep the bullpen big three in tact with Varland/Jax/Duran - you can't win without a solid pen, and that is in place. Coulombe has been great, but age is against him and we could part with him and Top - possibly Stewart. I would trade Festa or Zebby. They both project as middle of the rotation arms. Pablo, Joe, Ober are a strong 3, and I like SWR over either of those other two. Paddock could get traded, but won't bring back much. I would part with Wallner and Lewis, as well as Erod if we can get something. May have to throw in Sabato, Mirando or Julien to get there. Castro fills so many spots it is hard to see him go, but might be our biggest chip if we keep the BP together as I suggested. Bader brings an energy, like Paddock that can't be discounted. If Bader was traded, I wonder if he would consider signing back next year? C is s huge need, so that may drive some moves and force the Twins hand if they can get as close as you can get to a sure thing prospect. France is gone - Clemens may have to stay. Kiersey down and Martin up should be done, but I do not want to see Eeles, or McKusker

    AGREED!! Ryan is someone you build around, this team still has a 2 year window. However, they must deal prospects and not hold them so long if they are not coming to Target

    I will take a different look at this, and maybe seeing it a bit to on the optimistic side but I see this differently. Buxton is solid and so is Correa. He is not the bat we do need, but his defense is too valuable now and may be our future 3B. I am with you on Lewis. If we could ever sell high on him, we should not hesitate. I like Lee better and think he will be solid and is switch hitter who can play multiple spots. I like Larnach over Wallner. I think Larnach gives enough to be considered a must keep. Wallner is enticing but needs more plate discipline and needs to pick up a 1B mitt. However, saying one must go is understandable and I prefer that be Wallner. Jeffers is solid at catcher. Not great, but there are much worse and is a keeper. The bullpen is a strength and the rotation is above average. Ryan, Lopez, Ober, Paddack/Mathews, SWR I like all better then Festa. We still have 2 years before a lot of FA's appaer and prefer to use that window to win. Then we will know if Keaschall was a flash in the pan or the real deal and have other reinforcements coming.

    Festa and ERod are still prospects at this time. Selling them isn't tearing it down it is supplementing a core that can win. Fest will never be more than a mid-rotation arm and ERod is enticing and could bring back some good value. Tearing it down is sending away Duran, Jax, Ryan, etc. I am suggesting trading value for need. We can't just dump the Mirandas/Juliens of the world and expect to get high level talent

    I do not agree. Bullpens are too valuable, and maybe more so then starters at times. I don't like it, but that is how baseball is being played now. Duran and Jax need to stay. Castro is most likely going to get a bigger contract in the off-season then the Twins will offer, but trading him leaves a huge hole in the lineup with his versatility No team is giving up anything for Paddack, as he would not be in the rotation in the postseason for anyone right now. Coloumbe may command a decent prospect. Stewart and Topa not as much. Agree on France, but I would love to keep Bader and home he uses his mutual option to stay around next year. Correa is way to valuable at this time. He will be our future 3B, with Lee at 2nd and Keachall or Lewis at 2B

    I don't think tearing this down makes sense. The Tigers are the class of the division, but Cleveland is struggling, KC isn't any better then the Twins and Chisox are a long ways off. The early trade deadline is problematic in that too many teams are still in the hunt, Castro is most likely gone, but if we trade him we put a big hole in our lineup as he can plug-in to so many positions. David Festa and Erod are who I would use as trade bait.

    results were worse then the outing. 2 infield hits and a DP ball that got stuck in a glove. Duran has high value, but trading him waves the white flag
