I would extend both, but I would prioritize Lopez if I had to choose
  2. mickster
He has been what we needed, and getting through waivers was a mild shock.
  3. mickster
    Not in a Twins/Saints uniform.

I think the whole CBA issue and how it is resolved will have a big impact on most teams. I am an optimist and hoping that both sides realize that any lockout will hurt the game.
  5. mickster
I think he should stay now that he is up, but a reason that Jenkins doesn't come up as we can't have two learning while still in the hunt
  6. mickster
Then I stand corrected - and he should wait for 27
  7. mickster
a year of control is more than the potential reward
  8. mickster
    Not until the 15th

I don't think you will see Erod, Wallner, GG - they will be used to get anything they can in trades.
  10. mickster
This should not shock anyone, and a reason that Jenkins and others won't be recalled unless an injury requires it.

I would prefer not to expose them at this point, but use them to trade in the winter. Emma, GG, others possibly and fortify the offense that way. Expose them now and what if they struggle? I do understand your point, but I think their is greater risk then reward this year.

Pagan would look good in the pen today
  13. mickster
KP played two out of three. A day off to breathe was a good choice. Too much youth at once isn't a good option at this time in the season. Houston should not sniff the MLB this year.
  14. mickster
Emma needs to stay healthy and GG is regressing.
  15. mickster
I think a planned day off, facing Miz and he had 2 HBP and fouled a ball of his body the night before.
  16. mickster
I think we need to keep him as well, but could it be possible to attempt to slip him through waivers?
  17. mickster
I would take the proven Neto over the prospect in Culpepper yes. Houston has a better shot at being the long term answer at SS and Neto has control. It won't get done straight up so Erod may need to be included.
  18. mickster
it is either Zebby or Connor
  19. mickster
That is the move that makes sense, but you might see Prielipp in the pen to reduce innings
  20. mickster
They are looking for RH hitter. Martin isn't a splash for them, but they may see the upside of Erod and Wallner. May be a bit light and have to add another prospect, but I think they have pitching depth and might want to create room
  21. mickster
Fundy should go down for now. Get Hancock on board with the offer of ERod, Martin and Wallner. Hopefully they bite at this and then Zebby to pen.
  22. mickster
And we gave up low level prospects - good trade for the present without hurting the future
  23. mickster
I appreciate the effort. That just sounds like too much too give. I thought Culpepper was a good start as we can wait for Houston if have Neto. I am good with adding Emma and Martin and even GG or Zebby. But not both plus Mercedes. However, I think it has to be debated.
  24. mickster
Use Culpepper as the centerpiece to being in Neto and Detmers.
  25. mickster
I think Seattle wants a ready now RH but, I would try and sell them on Martin and Erod and maybe throw in Wallner
